Put it this way: what's the percentage of users who actually take the time to necrobump compared to just creating a new thread?
I think more people just create more threads than necrobump, and so necrobumping (being a rare thing) shouldn't be any problem unless a troll's out to fuck with others.

I'm pretty sure I already stated this in a similiar thread, but it bears repeating.

When done correctly, necromancy is fine with me. :)

Only Necrobump if you actually have something to contribute to the conversation, not just "cool" or " x] same!"

Anyway, looks like we never did really settle on this. Don't see too many necrobumpers getting called out for it unless they did have nothing or even remote value to say. So I guess it rather than being solved it has become more of a non-issue.

cant we just get someone to merge threads?
Though Im sure that person would be a mod... and be very annoyed having to do it.

Gambler seems to take it upon himself to merge threads when they become quite numerous and out of hand, but the way I see it the staff is busy enough as it is so the possible solution(s) of splicing and/or merging threads gets ignored most of the time.

The more posters behave, the less work moderators get.
I think it's better to try to follow the rules than to not care with the idea that if something is wrong a moderator will correct it.

Depends on "quality" of necrobump.
One-liner posts for no reason should be called out, but it's a different story when somebody genuinely contributes to thread's subject or simply wasn't able to reply to it for longer period for whatever reason.
It's better than making several threads about the same subject, though that will never be completely eliminated considering that masterlists and searches don't always work.
