You can still see Monster Girl and Kemonomimi. Click My Account, choose Settings, User Preferences, then change the first option to yes. It'll make all that stuff visible again. Though oddly enough, it was always on that option for me.

Second, Fakku did this to avoid being screwed over legally. Yes, it's a shame, but it prevents the site from being taken down because a lot of content was here illegally, and it both brings high quality hentai translations to the English speaking community alongside forcing other to step up their translation game. Am I 100% on board with it? No, I'm not. I'd rather be a filthy pirate. But it's understandable why, and I'm glad it was done instead of all of Fakku being hit by the long dick of the law.

Other then that OP you've been told personally from what I've seen about why Fakku has gone the path it's gone and you already stated in another thread you would not look the information up yourself which is rather easy to find. So if you're not pleased with things find another site, but as I tell anyone who has never seen the product Fakku is producing, please read what they are trying to promote. The hentai Fakku has personally translated and is providing is very high quality and was made possible because of where Fakku is today. Yes it may have started out as a hosting pirated site, but the goal was always to provide content that you couldn't have access to otherwise. Now that there is a way to provide this content in a ethically sound way and have the artist and companies complying/aware of their fan-base means even more content/material for fans that pirated scanalations could only do to a certain extent. Sure the content isn't as diverse as free pirated shit, but it takes time to get diversity and more variety (people this all just started this year, have patience lol).

Also stop throwing around "Fakku sold out and did this for the money". Getting very old very quickly and a rather stale insult at this point. It takes money to make this type of thing happen yes, but that's life in general. For people that can and are able to support, they want to provide things for people that want to see this content such as themselves. I know I support it and I do hope people that can't afford such things will be able to see it for free at some point because they have done great work so far. Hell I hope to even do give-aways myself at some point in the future to show how good their product is.

A site I've always been critical of. That's how bad a lot of these people are.

The issue with that is a company needs something to stand on to promote itself. To create a brand new site and possibly even a name is not feasible for a business. Fakku already has a name and something substantial to make the promotion of hentai possible since they are very well known. Anything made outside of the name as a child to this site would only be a shadow of it's predecessor so the probability of that company succeeding is much lower. In all honesty this had the potential to fail as well, it is not easy to break into an industry in this day and age regardless of what it is, but fakku has been doing very well if not better then expected.

Also companies would not support the combination of both pirated and legalized material. Even if both were separated and under different names, anything that could or can be connected would reflect poorly on the company trying to start up. Even the combination of both pirated and legal on here as of now is not common typically, but it takes time to change and that is what has been happening over the past year or so. You just arrived late to the party so it's all hitting you now which is understandable, no one was 100% happy, myself included had to get use to things.

I think the community should take pride in the fact that fakku has come as far as it has. I know not everyone can share in the glory of owning hentai and other such related material, but no one has forgotten where they have come from and what it took them to get here. There was one post I read where Jake gave gifted graciously people that helped him out years ago when fakku had it's first serious financial troubles. They're really been working hard on doing what they've always intended to do. It was never about free, it was about having people enjoy something they couldn't enjoy otherwise. Yeah the process has been a bit rocky, but as I said this is all new. It's not like there is a guidebook that tells you how to go about things, but honestly it's been handled as best as possible.

Porn is free? Since when? In 2015 there are still thousands of paysites on the internet. Sure there are sites that you don't have to pay to watch but that doesn't make them free. You pay by being subjected to dozens of advertisements (other companies who want your money). Even if you don't buy anything, the fact that you accessed the site without paying anything means someone else bought something and covered the cost of your visit. And if you adblock anyway then congratulations, you're cheating the system.

I don't understand how you people think. Almost everything on the internet happens because people buy things. Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, FAKKU, Redtube whatever. All of these services would not exist if there wasn't any revenue to drive them. Maybe Wikipedia would exist. What else? There really isn't much.

Nope, wikipedia runs off donations. If it doesn't get its quota, it will shut down. They have yearly or bi yearly donation runs.

But yeah, everything on the internet is a business and requires money some way or another. As you would have noticed, quite a lot of places have stopped relying on ad revenue, because it's not a very viable source of income anymore. Too many people using adblock, etc. If ads were still a viable source of income, many places wouldn't have made the move to paid things. Granted some have done it for some extra dosh, but those are usually larger companies.
Regardless, business is all about the money. And everything in life revolves around money, sadly

Free as in without cost or payment to the consumer, not supplier/producer. And using adblock is not "cheating" the system unless you make an agreement that you're okay to the ads and the information gathering.

I agree that most sites are doing it as an investment and looking for an eventual payoff, and I don't see anything wrong with that as long as their business strategy is ethical.
