I had created this topic before, but it mysteriously disappeared while Fakku wasn't working properly for a short while.
I started playing this almost a year ago, just before I gave up completely on Cardfight Vanguard. I was drawn to it when the SAO trial deck released in Japanese. It's enjoyable building decks with my favorite characters from various anime and games.

Just learned how to play this game, and I've enjoyed it so far. Just got the Fate/Zero ENG trial deck, a ENG Madoka deck, and waiting on my boxes for my JPN iM@S cards so I can make a deck with those.

You'd need a little bit of every set to have a good deck, but it's worth the effort. Not only is it fun to play, it was one of the best decks in tournaments. Three iM@S cards are restricted in tourneys, in fact. I'd totally be playing it if I could ever get my hands on enough of it, mostly just so I could have a deck full of Haruka. xP

I also heard this card game from one of my associates and I'm interested on buying some although I need to wait since I don't have yet the funds to buy one. I want to buy the Clannad cards if they get to be localized, that is. I think I may start w/ the madoka cards first.

Clannad is an old set. It's possible they could have a comeback campaign (where they would reprint older sets, AND print new cards for them to give the weaker elements of it more support), but I donn't believe it has one. Thus, it'll be quite difficult to find.
English Madoka is indeed a good set to help you get started. It's easy to obtain, being a relatively new set, and the decks are more simple to build: basically, you choose two girls with affinity for each other (usually Madoka and Homura or Kyouko and Sayaka)

Ugh... I hate Sayaka on the series although my favorite is Kyoko. Just got a booster pack since my funds are still low.

You aren't limited to those two combinations I mentioned, though those are the two most synergistic ones, since Kyouko's cards work well with Sayaka's, and Homura's cards work well with Madoka's cards (some of their cards specifically mention the other girl's name for their effects).

I've built a Madoka deck only with Madoka and Homura (Mono-Green). I do agree that Madoka is one of the easiest sets to build.
Where can I find a good website to translate the JPN cards into ENG do I can memorize the cards?

I also have a Madoka deck as well. Well, it was a gift from a friend that I had introduced to Madoka. It's a pretty fun game. Too bad now it's just on display. I wonder if there's an online Weiss Schwarz.

Yeah, it's pretty simple, especially since these pairings put you into two colors maximum (or in the case of Madoka/Homura, mono), so color fixing is not a problem.
Unfortunately for me, it means brewing up a weirder deck in that set is a bit harder. My friend and I both ran a Madoka/Kyouko/Mami deck with inconsistent results, since we also strive to be different from most others, and still make our odd combinations work.

This site is basically the official site for Weiss Schwarz translations. In fact, large-scale official tournaments in the US are run by them, not by Bushiroad.

Super jelly. I really want to make an iM@S deck, too, but needing to get all the different sets is too difficult. Even my friends want to make it, and need to rely on our Japanese friend to get whatever we need. He had some spares, but for now, he's the only one with a complete deck so far.

I would LOVE to play, however I'm still not the best at Japanese and I don't really like the shows they have localized so far. I have a great little busters! deck that I built up through getting collectables (Little busters! ex first press, little busters! perfect edition, and the blu-ray limited editions) but I can't read them very well therefore I would have trouble playing them, I'll probably start in a few years if anyone still plays it by then.

Most people who play this game play with Japanese cards, so it's easier to trade with them. Also, you're not allowed to mix English cards with Japanese cards in your deck.
Don't worry too much about reading Japanese. Many players simply rely on the website I posted above: heartofthecards.com/ws/

Thank you so much! I didn't know there was a website for that, it seems like the games would go rather slowly if you kept having to look up each card, but I'm sure you would memorize it in no time at all. Thank you again!

Yeah, that site is considered the official site. Official tournaments in America use heartofthecards for tranlations.
The effects aren't ever very complicated, so they should be easy to memorize. At some point, you'll be able to tell what some cards do by symbols alone, since every set should have them.
"Oh, that's a suicider." "That's a brainstormer." etc.
And, of course, all you need is to check that site if there's a card you don't know. You can print out the translations, too, in a way that fits inside a card sleeve so you'll never forget what your cards do.

Indeed. Every time a new set is announced, some number of my friends say that they really want it. To quote one of them,"If you play this game, you hate money". I certainly can't disagree with that. We spend so much on this game.
