What anime was your first mecha anime?

I'm sure it's Voltes V and Daimos for me.

More than likely Gundam Wing was my first mecha anime.

Robotech macross, was epic for my eleven year old mind. lol.

Ninja Senshi Tobikage. It was called Ninja Robots around here.

Beast King Go Lion! a.k.a. Voltron.

Despite being a huge Gundam fanatic, my first mech anime was, in fact, Voltron. While awesome, it lacked a certain element for me for some reason. Then, Toonami had Robotech, which is quite a bastardization of Macross, but it filled the void quite a bit, since I enjoyed the transformation concept. Oddly enough, while Gundam Wing was my first mech anime, it took a while for me to warm up to it before I truly came to love it.

Mine was Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Mine was Zeta Gundam. Saw it at Family Video and had no clue what it was, it just looked rad, so I got my cousin to rent it, because, you know, it was 17+

Surprisingly, it's not my favorite Gundam series.
