i will admit that this thread started a bit sexist and i'm speaking for myself i grew up with my mother cooking cleaning and working since shes single mother and i have some family members who are married and the wife stays at home/babysits(i dont know about their sexlife cause thats just really weird if i did) honestly in my case i have stuff so thats taken care of pretty much i suppose but when it comes to a serious relationship when i get into one i would hope that she likes me and we work like yin and yang and if she can make me into a better person why not i would be satisfied anybody was by my side for a first date alone marriage/relationship of a year when it comes to cooking i do it at work when its required but mostly my mother cooks and i just heat it up later but im working on being more proactive in that department but if she can cook and i like it AWESOME
and the sex id be happy with when ever shes in the mood for it as i dont have much of a sexdrive but hopefully she had or understands that i like hentai and that its healthy that i can get an erection 4+ times a week(this statement totally screams virgin i know w.e)
and if she does or doesnt work idc but hopefully at a job she enjoys and pays well and vice versa
when it comes to cleaning i'd hopefully have a roomba or a housekeeper but if i dont id hope it can be 50/50
Only part that I'm questioning;
4 times a week? Jesus christ... that's not many.

Sounds to me like you've gained quite a skewed view on women's attitudes to a relationship.
I've heard of a lot of the same as you, but I only get those attitudes from petty or lazy bitches who like nothing better than to invent gossip.
If a woman (well, a man as well) wants a relationship to work, there's gotta be communication, which means both sides have got to contribute. If you encounter women who expect the relationship to be perfect from the off and remain that way, then she knows nothing about how a real relationship works and may be dumb as a sack of shit. Not always, but often. Or at least where I live that's the case. They are best avoided, for your sanity.

So exactly what do women think that they are supposed to contribute to a relationship? Or do they believe that a relationship is supposed to be a situation where they don't have to contribute anything but the man does?If a woman (well, a man as well) wants a relationship to work, there's gotta be communication, which means both sides have got to contribute. I strongly prefer my women not to contribute spermatozoa and such to the relationship, thank you very much.

In my honest opinion, I'd say it depends on your own personal preferences.
As for me? I'm not really that picky, at least not anymore. I just want someone who loves me for me, you know?
As cliche as that sounds, in my own opinion, if that barrier can be overcome, I'm sure any other problems could be worked out.
Then again... Maybe it's this type of thinking that's made it so difficult... I know every person is different, so I'm not sure what to do or think in most situations. *sigh*

What are women suppose to contribute a relationship? Nothing. And the same goes for men, nobody has to contribute anything to a relationship whatsoever.
However, if you were talking about what makes a successful relationship then that's an entirely different question. In that case then communication is key, if you don't tell each-other what your preferences are (be it sexual, domestically or anything else) then you aren't going to last long. You also need to be able to compromise, if you want to be in a relationship where you want only your way well...I give that relationship a week. Alternatively if you are willing to let your partner have their way and nothing else then that's not very healthy at all (unless you really don't care but then you're giving them too much control).
Usually I'd say that if we were talking about money and paying bills I'd say its better to have each party pay 50/50 but not everyone is going to have a high enough paying job for that, or any job at all for that matter. So I'd probably say giving someone a role to fulfil with their money is the best thing to do (Again, communication is key here otherwise you may get into a fight. For example, say one of the two went out and was assigned shopping and they bought items the other partner didn't like then a fight could break out).
Personally I don't mind how much my partner does in comparison to me, she already has a larger income than me. As long as she tells me about important things and considers my opinion before doing anything then I'm happy, as I said: Communication is key in any relationship and its what all long-lasting relationships require to survive.

Everyone has preferences I guess xD
though the point is that the man and woman should contribute the same, depending on which agreements they've made.

well, that wouldn't be possible :P
Its more like, they should both put the same amount of effort into the relationship.

Because of the media nowadays, people have came to the belief that because men care about a woman's physicality, they automatically think that they want women to be the "perfect" image imposed by the media.
I'm telling you right off the bat that it's completely false. The majority of men don't want those disgusting sack of bones that'll break in half if they fall down a single stair. Caring about a woman's physicality isn't a crime, it's having preferences like everyone else, therefore I find it fairly annoying when some only precise "Men expect this body from women" as if it wasn't the same exact way the other way around.
as of what women are supposed to contribute to, it'd be anything. Don't think of a relationship as woman+man, think of it as two human beings. Unless the task is not do-able by you because of your body, I'd expect you to contribute. It's not because I'm a man that I won't be cooking or doing the laundry but it's also not because the woman is a woman that she doesn't have to help with the house income and whatnot.
