What are your views on fakku removing the scanlations?
How sad are you for all scanlations to be deleted?
-1
I have been using fakku for a very long time, and I feel really sad to see all those scanlations that have "entertained" me over the years just disappear because of legal reasons. I want to know how people feel about this happening. I'm sure I'm not the only one here.

I am quite sad that all the unlicensed content will be disappearing, but I view it as a sort of necessary evil - the removal of all that unlicensed content will pave the way for even more and better licensed, high-quality content. Ultimately, that makes it worth it to me, even though it does suck.

For me it means I go to another site for the scanlations and get the high quality licensed stuff on fakku...

I don't personally care.^
1) I can just look elsewhere,
and 2) I hold out hope the content will come back legally. Only reason scanlation exists in the first place is because until now it's been exclusive to Japan.
I came for the porn and stayed for the forums.

I managed to read that poll super wrong. Oh well, don't really care. Tad sad to see them go but oh well!

I've rarely used Fakku for scanlations. There's other sites that have a much greater selection. Fakku is now my stop for top notch, uncensored porn. And for everything else, I just look elsewhere. If the uncensored goods are removed (which won't happen), that's when I'm hitting the panic button.

Wait, what do you mean by legal reasons?
If we keep taking content illegally, we eventually lose it. It's actually a good thing that this is happening. Imagine if you were an artist and you saw your art being hosted on someone's page making money off of you work. If we don't actually pay for things quality will degrade, and people will starve. I know it suck but sometimes we should pay for things.

I won't go that far with japanese mangos and animu since the foreign market is so tiny, the japanese corporations didn't care until the otakus found out about the torrents in raw form of their high cost anime vols. That what hit their bottom yen. Now the quality in the sense of the normal scanlations wouldn't matter since that what they have in nipon also. Now the uncensored kick in the ass of western ports... yeah. Hence why project-h step up their game to uncensored and non newsprint and shit ink.
Still the manga didn't really hurt wani or the others. IT was the anime, Chinese quick scans and Freedom of the torrents. If the simpsons was 80$ a vol of 3-4 eps and the Japanese or a japanese site rip and/or host them for free and translated them into english then we would do the same. The same with fakku books.... there was alot of japanese ip address in the peer list. Hell in the raw and fansub stuff there a lot of red sun flags. The Chinese scan them raws and Chinese fanscan with in the day. Use to take a few days to a month for someone to translate a chapter or a full mag.
If anything pirates helped. Someone had to buy the mag/anime vol/tank for someone to rip or translate and encode from. Scanlatiors bought alot of tanks to scan from. Plus a lot of non scan people imported anime and mangos for collecting and second market sells, but there a time when the market gets the media and you just have to go legal or legal as you want. There will be more scanlations and it will never stop nor should it. There many mangos and animus left unfound.
Fakku removing the scan doesn't hurt me or should hurt others because unlike what the fanboys and trolls say... Jacob doesn't rule the world and daiz is his slave in destroying the fun. There plenty of sites for your scans plus wani scans/books/fakku content... just people are lazy and dumb. Hell google does 95% of your work for you. I never used fakku for scans... ever. Im only here because of the forums and it something to do while i take a dump. Or kill a few mins.
