What do you like? Shy or Confident Guys
0
The topic is kind of self explanatory.
I heard that girls tend to like confident guys the most, but then i got curious and thought that maybe some girls like shy guys more?
I don't know much of about this myself, but i would like to hear your opinions.

I think a mix is always best. A girl wants a confident guy, but too much confidence more or less leads to arrogance which tends to turn me off. Someone that also has that shyness to them adds a sense of mystery to them which to me makes them more appealing, but too shy makes them to annoying cause they don't open up enough and makes relationship feel like you are dragging them along. So yes a mixture of the two is what I tend to like more for a relationship.

Confidence > a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.
Shy > being reserved or having or showing nervousness or timidity in the company of other people.
You can be a mixture of both like blinkgirl says. When you are overconfident, then you appear arrogant and as a know it all. Too shy and you appear like a clammed up shell that is too insecure to ever open up. A good balance between the two is fine.
The only reason girls say that they prefer a man with confidence is that we want a man to acknowledge us and to show us that they really care. I know when I dated guys who were too shy, they were also typically insecure and pessimistic. The relationship was ruined because they were never comfortable with the relationship; they would constantly talk about it ending because of them or if they did something wrong they would immediately clam up again.
If you don't even try then you never know what you missed out on. You can think a thousand different thoughts (good or bad), but if you never act then what did you accomplish? You waisted hours and days of energy over nothing but your own selfish feelings.
To gain confidence you need to value yourself and enjoy who you are as well as take care of yourself. Shyness is common and okay, but you have to push yourself if you ever want to overcome it. I myself am a mixture of the two and I had a lot of difficulty with my shyness (doesn't look that way if you read my posts, but irl I am lol). I was tired of overthinking every little thing and said "fuck it" I already know what could be the worst outcome so let's see how it will really turn out. Usually isn't as bad as you think; if it is then you take some time to calm down and you find the right time to try again. If you fall down and cut up your knees, you have to take care of them, let them heal and keep on walking.

If I was a girl I'd go for a really confident boy but at the same time he'd be shy so he would pay attention to me while being able to protect me.
Wow. Did I just type that? 0.0

A guy can be both shy and confident, I think.
When the guy has a balance of both its really appealing.
To me, if a guy is confident in himself (looks, personality, etc)
then its really attractive. Just because you are confident doesn't make someone a total loud mouth jerk.
You can have confidence and be shy. That's how I am.
I'm a pretty confident in myself but in all, I'm a pretty
meek girl unless I'm around people I really know.
But I think confidence is key. You gotta love yourself before you can love someone else :P[/h]

I'm fucked.

I like shy guys more than confident guys, I'm just more attracted to them. That being said I'm really confident in myself so I suppose I always take the lead role in my relationships. However, I don't like guys that are too shy to make a move or are too shy to take a risk in the relationship. A mix is best but I lean towards the shy-type of guy/girl since they compliment my personality.

Yeah that sounds about right; someone capable of being confident in a situation that calls for it but shy more often than not as long as the relationship isn't runied by it. Probably the best way to put it.

Then if a man/male is shy about sex (75%) but not about meeting and kissing girls (25%), it's OK ?
Means virgin adolescent young boys may be your phantasm.[/h] Shotacon ?
