What is the best anime airing right now?

To be honest this was a tough question for me as there's a lot of good anime out this summer, but I've got to good with Tokyo Ghoul just on the emotion and suspense filled twist and turns its been taking over the last seven weeks. That said I keep hearing that Tokyo Ghoul's only going to be twelve episodes long so in the long run I think in the long run the poll standings are right it'll be between SAO season II and Akame ga Kill for that top slot.
In that scenario I feel that Sword Art is better because its a continuation and also because the story content is alot more fleshed out from last season.

A good question.
My gut would actually say Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei!. It has done a good job so far if handling the new material and Kuro is a pretty good new character for the series. Some good action and yuri kisses that would beat even Sakura Trick.
Second though would probably be Akame ga Kill! It's had some impactful episodes and has told a story that's had some dark moments but also some humor. A main lead that does have room to grow, but is also likable as he is.
SAO II is alright, but not sure it'd be at the top of my list. Has taken a slower approach which I like though.

Tokyo Ghoul and Irregular at magic high school are my 2nd and 3rd vote xD.

Akame ga Kill is one of my favorite manga so im trying to be critical on the anime adaptation and not just "Fanboying" over it.
And as for the best, Aldnoah.Zero without a doubt.
SAO II is good and all but its far from the best of the season

Best Comedy is Gekkan Shojou Nozaki-kun in my opinion. Barakamon is just totally relaxing and after that i'd go with either SAOII or Zankyou no Terror. Though I must give Psycho Pass an honorable mention because it would be Nr.1 for me if it wasn't just a "rerun".

Anybody else relieved that the poll of the week has finally changed. The poll of the week almost became the Poll of every half year.

Mahouka is the best though for the poll Akame ga Kill. Btw does anyone not watch SAO ironically and to see amazing levels of fail?

I went with Tokyo Ghoul since I really like the way characters are fleshing out and the story does an excellent job with the whole "faded morals" and "the world is grey" concepts. Zankyou no Terror is easily second. The characters are really good, the art style is phenomenal (reminds me of older animes), and I really like where the story is going and the pace that it is taking.
If I had to put a dead last it would be a tie between SAO II and Akame ga Kill. SAO is just moving at such a slow pace it's almost unbearable and when the story wants to progress it sort of does it in one go, like some sort of plot hiccup. I dropped the Akame manga because I got sick of being force fed false emotions of pity towards one dimensional characters moments before they were being killed off in a sea of gore for what can only be the purpose of shock value given the fact that after 50 issues the main character is still a worthless whiney bitch and hasn't grown an inch character wise from other character deaths, rendering their loss pointless except to lower the work load on the author from having to flesh them out properly. Last thing I want to do is go through that again with the anime (I'm not a masochist).
Side Note: The best show this summer hasn't even aired yet. *Sits and waits for Hanamonogatari*

I watch Aldnoah Zero, Barakamon, Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei!, Free! Eternal Summer, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusade, SAO II, and Tokyo Ghoul. I honestly never know what is the best.

Tokyo Ghoul is good but Gintama is better. All about Gintama

Zankyou no Terror, for me. SAO has been disappointing (although last season wasn't much to write home about either, IMO), although that's 'cause I'm just slogging through GGO, my least favorite arc, to get to Alicization (here's hoping, anyway). I'm also really enjoying Fate/Kaleid Liner (Fate/Fanboy over her) and Tokyo Ghoul, both of which felt lacking in the last 1-2 eps until the most recent, when they picked up again. Finally, I'm watching Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance, but mainly as a casual, less serious watch.
Oh, and Mahouka's good, too, but that's not on the list.

I'm loving the heck out of akame ga kill really good action anime there aren't that many mideval assassin anime out there also aldnoah zero is amazing inaho I like the next lelouch minus the ruling the world part also tokyo ESP is awesome I like that in the first epsidoe they show the two sisters from garei zero as a cameo which was great sword art online 2 has also been great along with terror in resonance. I hope after star dust crusader's they'll animate part 4 to 8 of jojo's bizzare because I really want to see those parts animated.

wow it hurts to see Haikyuu is so low, it's a very good show. also love Akame ga kill, tokyo ghoul, and zankyou no terror. I think SAO season 2 is also pretty good so far but still over rated

I'd say Akame Ga Kill, just because irregular at magic high school is not on the list. If it were, it'd easily rival Akame and SAO in votes <.

Full Time Waifu.
Akame Ga Kill's keeping me real captivated. I read the manga and I fell in love with it, developing a fanboy crush on Akame and Leone. The pacing is perfect in my opinion for each episode too
Tokyo Ghoul and Zankyou No Terror come in right after, but it's pretty sad that Tokyo Ghoul's only for a half season so they're skipping an arc.
SAO's comming up cause it's starting to get better after like 7 episodes.
Overall, it's such a great Summer season for anime!~
Rail Wars and Glasslip are keeping me occupied too
