First two gens are the best. They kept the feel. After 3rd Gen they kinda got lame. At least anything is better than 3rd gen :S.

There have been great Pokémon in all generations, but the first generation is still the favorite. Especially with the actual final aim of the game - filling the PokéDex - getting almost impossible in the latest generations... And the Pokémon designs are getting silly as well these days.

I like Ruby/Sapphire , actually no , technically speaking , Emerald the best. It was the only pokemon game I've played with a proper story with all those red and blue orbs. :3

My favorite was 2nd gen (Gold/Silver).
The pokemon were awesome and there was a ton of content (going back to conquer the league from Red/Blue? Hell yeah!) which made the purchase more than worth it.

Gold and Silver (I played Crystal) was my favorite. The rival had kind of a badassness to him and there was much content and features to keep one happy. But I'm talking game wise. You can't ever really beat the first generation when it comes to the actual Pokemon. The third generation had the best set after that, Rayquaza ftw. It kinda started getting retarded at forth gen. (God Pokemon? Fuck that...). I dunno after forth which I completed but barely remembered. They started officially running out of ideas at fifth gen (from the POV of a person who's never played it).

I voted Gold/Silver. Only game you get to visit two regions (loved the remix of kanto trainer battle theme)and get 16 medals, also Typhlosion rocks.
