What is your favorite generation of Pokemon?

G/S/C for me. Never played past emerald, and didn't like Gen III because it tried too hard and moved so slowly. Playing it on emulator was infinitely better than on my GBA SP because of spacebar.

C had battle tower, which is a clever thing to try for the most hardcore players. Multiple generations of breeding, praying you get perfect IVs, fighting one in ten wild monsters because you're going for perfect EVs...etc.
Had to do all that to be their level 10 machop on steriods that knew cross chop. Sheesh.

And you could get 16 badges in those. And fight Red, who is infinitely more man than that idiot Ketchum could ever be.

I grew up with Yellow, blue, and red. Also, I have no desire to learn all of the new 500 somewhat new Pokemon. I'll stick with the original 150.

I enjoyed playing Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue but my all-time favorite is Pokemon Fire Red.

I've got to say Black/White is my favorite..And I've played every Pokemon since the Yellow Version. I loveeee the classics but I have to say every version that comes out Gamefreak just impresses me more and more.

I mainly like Black/White because of these things.

1) I think the music is AMAZING in Black/White. ;o N's Castle..Emotion..Geechisu.. the new beeping sound when you are in the red in HP. XD

2) The characters and story just really had me eager to keep playing and see what happens next. The fight between truth and ideals. Are Pokemon truly happy being in Pokeballs and are trainers only thinking of themselves? Should they be freed or can Pokemon and humans live together? N was such a great antagonist. ;3

3) The new visuals are very cool. (The cut scenes and things like crossing those big brides. ;o)

The only thing I miss from the previous versions is being able to re-battle trainers or to be able to call people. ( Sure you got that Xtranciever..But only if you could call the NPC's in the game. D: ) If they ever make a version where you could go to every region.. battle every Gym leader..Every region Champion..<3

P.S - Who is getting a 3DS? XD I am!

well i have no favorite they are all fine for me =P

Generation II because it's the generation that drastically changed the way we played Pokemon. New Pokemon [almost all of my favorites are from Gen. II], shifting between Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night, keeping track of time, SHINY Pokemon, etc., etc. Generation II is simply the best.

gold/silver where my favorite mainly becouse it had tyranitar and being able to travel both the kanto and johto region

Gold/Silver ftw, my first pookemon game was silver and my favorite was tyranitar and lugia

Red/Blue ftw, the first 150(151?) pokemon are still the most popular ones.
And yes, I grew up with the 1st gen.

My favorite was gold/silver. Gold was my first pokemon game. I was so young I didn't even know that pokemon had games at the time. My parents totally surprised me one Christmas. I played it like mad. I was going through a pack of batteries a week. I was better than all my friends too.

Red/Blue/Yellow are my all time favorites
But Diamond, Pearl, Platinum come close. the wifi feature opened a whole new window for pokemon for me now I cant stop playing it

I started with yellow, but I fell in love with the series with Silver. There was just something about it that clicked, and ever since then it's always been my favorite game of the entire series.

But I picked the Gold/Silver one because Lance was an epic fight. I had silver.
