My favorite is Diamond/Pearl, I could send all of my pokemon from a my emerald game in there. My second is Emerald for its Battle Frontier.

i liked/preferred 1st generation red/blue, but also enjoyed yellow. Havent had a chance to get black/white yet though i will eventually.

I've been playing Pokemon games ever since Y/R/B, but I must say that Pokemon B/W is my favorite. It feels so fresh, and has everything I could have ever wanted in a Pokemon game, (plus reusable TMs)! Before B/W, though, my favorite gen was definitely second, (G/S). Has some of my favorite Pokemon in it, like Tyranitar and Umbreon, and that epic battle with Red at the end. Good times.

red an blue, I'm a old school gamer. i like my game nice an simple, not with the 300 and something pokemon and with all the weird mini game and add-on.

Pokemon Red was my first Pokemon game after all. My neighbor got the Blue edition so we could perfectly trade. When yellow came out, the tests in the newspaper didn't seem it would be interesting. Later I was not interested in Pokemon anymore since I grow older and it's really childish, to be honest.

I voted black/white because they were so freaking enjoyable i loved everything about em, at first i was going to vote for gold/silver because it was my first and it also included kanto in it but black and white was much better, diamond and pearl were crap and generation 3 was okay but nothing groundbreaking.

I grew up playing Red/Blue/Yellow versions. I would have picked Yellow if it were on the list, but next would have to be Silver. Silver (not mentioning Gold because Silver's better) was just an extension of Yellow. It had the same Pokemon + more, genders, breeding, night and day, 2 regions, and a lot more. Just can't beat that.

Well i played these when I was a kid and i liked the Starters a lot, thats also why i like to play with the pokemon trainer in SSBB

Though i grew up playing most of the games, ruby and sapphire definitely were the most fun for me. I remember i put 280 hours into ruby before selling it..yeah good times

to those asking where is yellow...yellow is first gen like red and blue. so if its about generations thats the choice to go for. loved yellow cause you could get all 3 starting pokemon
