whats happening to fakku?

Back in the day I remember we were able to download doujinshi zip files from fakku, but now its been taken down because of copyright? or something.
Maybe a year ago? I am seeing books.. okay okay books.. not a big deal since its only a couple of doujinshi that is going to have limited access.
And now there is subscription? this is just getting ridiculous. Why is this happening? How did we get from free to paying and then paying for monthly access. Is this site going to be only for paid members soon? because I am getting that kind of vibe right now. am i going to have to look for an alternative website now? why do we have to paid now? most of these doujinshi are pretty old, are the artist at least getting paid for this.
why not make a twitch account and get subscribers there.
i know i dont have any rights to complain, but come on... this is the internet, everything is pretty much free if you know where to look.

Will answer your questions. This has been happening for a while now, Fakku is going from pirated content to legally published material, so anything not through Fakku will be removed. And you're right if you want free can pirate off of other sites, no one will stop you.

They're doing things as efficiently as possible, but it will take a little time to get everything more up to speed. I'd say instead of getting more we are "finally" getting what consumers have wished for. People such as myself that enjoy hentai, anime, manga, etc find something like this very appealing. I know before Fakku started publishing there were only a very select few companies selling English hentai and the quality ranged from poor to average at best. The content and quality of the work published by Fakku is better then anything I've personally seen and believe me I've been a collector of Japanese nerdy good for years lol. I can't speak for everyone but I know I enjoy what Fakku has to offer and I have had no issue with using the money I make to buy what I can when I can.
If you wish to pirate and find things for free then go and do so, no one will think ill of you for it since we all do it, but you and others that say free is right or its wrong to pay for something such as legal hentai where the artist directly profit is a false statement. Priating has promoted this material and made it possible for us to know about such things we couldn't have at the time, but that cannot last forever. Legal promotion of the material is a great way to try and further the expansion of this content and much more we could have never gotten with piracy. So hopefully all of this pays off and people can enjoy more in the end.
So basically everyone could profit off of this in the end, even the pirates, but you need to buy to have free so if you can support and think it's a good investment go for it, if not then it's cool. Just don't knock it till you try it, I know I'll never regret my purchases from here (^^)

Look, fakku is trying their best to put out as much content that is as good as possible with the least amount of cost to you. If fakku could put out all their content for free, I'm guessing they would, but running a website this big with this much quality content costs a lot of cash, and they need us to help them get that cash.
