i listen to anything from Metal to Beautiful music.
only metal like SOAD and MTH really though....
alot of J pop like sunset swish, eiko shimamiya, porno graffitti
J rock like abingdon boys school, gackt, SID (although i don't like visual kei, but the music doesn't have to suffer...
i can listen from the most calmest song that makes you want to cry, or a heavy song. dam i've gotten soft.
I do have anime themes (obviously), but i hunt down the band to see if they have any more songs :D
Metallica got boring, serj tankian is good, paramore was ruined because the work place that i hated kept playing it and gave me bad dreams lmao (not a thing i'd usually let bother me, but maaaan it got ruined :S)

These results have actually been really interesting, so kudos on the idea. As bad as this sounds, I've never known a particularly intelligent fan of metal irl, nor do I hold it as a big demographic in general, and yet it wholly dominates the music forum and evidently (with similar-ish rock) the generally held tastes site-wide. Is that location, generation or hentai related, I wonder?

No contest. For a genre that has Nana Mizuki, Kawada Mami, May'n, FictionJunction, Kalafina etc, this is the one and ONLY genre for me.

I listen to most genres: pop, rock, indie etc. But the genre that I listen most to is the glorious genre of classical rock 'n' roll from the fine age of the 70's to the 80's.

I listen to all kinds of music as long as they're good to my ear: Love songs, christian music, anime music, rock, pop, etc. I don't like those music with many screaming and complaining in the lyrics though.
