At home it's 8mbit connection with ~700-1000kB/s download speed (mostly affected by the use of TV - net+TV share the same line) and up to ~200kB/s upload. Price is about 30 Euro (45 US Dollars?) per month.
Now I'm at dorm and local WiFi fails... terribly fails... both DL and UL don't get above 100kB/s. "For free."

In reality it peaks around 500-600kb/s.
Which sucks considering the guy down the street gets 1MB/s.
