Spoiler:
tubes clogged...., the normal upload bandwidth is around 10-20MB/s, I don't need to download faster than 10MB/s anyway
Okay, assuming you mean 10-20 Mb/s, that makes allot more sense (MB = MegaByte, Mb = Megabit)
tubes clogged, a joke on a stupid American politician.
man, as a computer science student I'm supposed to know the difference between those two, stupider things have happened, the servers managing the network sometimes slow down affecting the upload speed it was one of those times when I did the speed test
and I know about the idiot politician tho I don't remember which one was the one to make the tubes analogy, Bush maybe?

He said .40, as in 0.40.
Thats even slower than mine, which is a complete ripoff at $100 per month.

Oh, he really should have included that zero, I could not really see that period on my screen.
I feel sorry for you, that you have to pay $100 for such a slow connection

It was quoted by former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens.

good enough :)
Considering you are from Sweden, where basically everyone seems to have fiber, then NO, BAD SWEDISH PERSON, it is not fast enough.
If all Swedish people had such a low uplaod, where would the good seeders for my torrents come from then?
:P

Download: 8.4 Mb/s
Upload: 0.4 Mb/s
Ping: 23ms
I think it's fine.
Just a quick fyi; I'm South Korean, and when I worked for a South Korean automotive parts company this past summer, some of the guys there told me that South Korea has 100 Mb/s internet speeds for 20 dollars a months. I thought he was joking, but then one of the guys proved it to me by going to his provider's website and showing me the subscription details.
Imagine...100 Mb/s. lol. Get a movie in eight seconds. Too bad most computers can't handle that. I think the fastest my computer copies a file is 20 Mb/s, so I assume my max download speed on my computer is somewhere around that too.

You have to differentiate between Mb (Mega bit) and MB (Mega Byte)!
100 Mb/s is actually only 12.5 MB/s, and that is the theoretical maximum, which you will never get, so if you have 100 Mb/s you could expect max 10 MB/s if you are lucky (there has to be someone with a 100 Mb/s upload you can download from..)
