I don't smoke myself but a lot of people I know who do use them tell me they're not strong enough. Personally I prefer people using them over cigarettes as I'm not keen on the smell of cigarette smoke being stuck in my clothes and hair.

I dig them since i quit smoking. I like the idea of refilling with weed oil and cleaner safer toke. Until it blows up and my face is deep pit roasted pork.

A nice way of getting nicotine in you without all that tar and hundreds of chemicals in a cigarette.
I might switch to that if I find a brand I like.

I don't smoke, but from what I hear they give less of a nicotine dose, but still the same kick.
So in theory they're better to use- and less expensive.
The only reason there is this conversation about them is simply because you cannot tax them.

Everywhere else the controversy stems from people questioning whether they actually can help smokers kick the habit and encourage more smokers by what is essentially "rebranding" cigarettes, and the potential for people to be inhaling more harmful chemicals than Tar from regular cigarettes due to the lack of regulation over them.

As with a few others I don't smoke but every person I seen use them stopped. A friend at work was using it and said it was good for a month then he takes one cigarette and then he doesn't refill his ecig so he stopped. One of the bosses at my job started then said it was hurting his throat so he stopped. My dad was using it but wasn't using it all the time and would smoke cigarettes so was almost pointless. So I see them as a temporary solution, but in the end I don't see it being a complete solution in stopping people that been smoking for years.

If anything, the only reason to use them is so you don't cause secondhand smoke or to avoid the smell and staining of teeth regular smoking causes. Honestly that's all the reason you'll really need, because that's one of the main reasons why people don't like hanging out with smokers.
Taking nicotine still isn't good for you, and changing the method of ingesting it doesn't change the fact that you're still taking it. So really it's more of a convenience and common courtesy thing.

I dig em, and i use one when im at work or in the bar, or any other building. I still smoke regular cigarettes, but not as much as i use to.
And the reason many people stop using the ecig is because they use propylene glycol based ejuice, which rapes your throat with prolonged usage. I use glycerine based juice, and its pretty much the same as smoking a hookah

don't smoke but have tried them.
they do work for some people but not for everyone.
I of some people who started to use them but then back to cigs and then there are some who stayed on them.
The oils come in different strengths and its about finding the right strength and then going to lower one.
the problem i see with them is that the oil you get come in different flavours which can get more people to smoke them, i do have a friend who doesn't smoke but uses one with a zero nicotine, as a shisha pipe

It lets my friends who smoke do so without smelling like cigarettes afterward, so that's fine by me. I've tried it twice before, a non-nicotine one, though. Kinda interesting, since it comes in various flavors.
One of them is using it to try to kick his habit, but he's been at it for months, so I doubt he's really making much progress.

I haven't smoked cigs in two years. Just a huff of the e cig once in a while when i need the craving.

I don't smoke but my friend who uses both says they much prefer e-cig cartridges. Though sometimes late at night they're too lazy to walk 2 blocks to plaid pantry and smoke a normal cig.

I'm not a fan of cigs (I find the smell to be horrible), so I don't like e-cigs either. But, last year I went to smoke-shop a with my friend who wanted to get a refill and at least I can say that they smell better than normal cigarettes.
tl;dr if people need a smoke I prefer them using e-cigs

Spoilers: they still release carcinogens into the air.
Please, for fuck's sake, don't use them inside.

I've been on long car rides with some that use them and they can be just as bad if you're in a trapped environment. Toss in asthma and yeah.

[color=#993300]Dont smoke, but like them better than regular cigarettes, using less nicotine and toxic chemicals with the same effect. Plus, I know a guy who runs an electronic cigarette shop who sells cartridges by nicotine concentration, making it good for addicts to slowly step down.
