where to meet nerdy girls?

so I want to meet a girl who likes similar things to me. the problem is i go to a all boy school and i'm really shy. also to me the best place to possibly meet girls that share my interests are at conventions.i want to go and talk to girls that are cosplaying as one of my favorite anime characters but I fell like they don't want random guys to talk to them. so ye any advice?

The most common places that come to mind are conventions, anime/game clubs, bookstore, comic book store, videogame store, places that sell novelty items (doctor who, game shirts, figurines, anime series) like FYI, Sam Goody, Hot Topic, Best Buy??, anime related stores (I have one in my area where I meet guys and girls a like sometimes), dating sites, and possibly online forums.

I think you just need to find a girl in general and not focus so much on finding a "nerdy" girl. There is more to a person then them liking certain things you like. The big thing about a relationship is finding someone that can accept your hobbies and understand that you enjoy them even if they don't feel the same. If you set your sites too short you may miss out on a nice girl. Another good thing about keeping an open mind is finding someone who you can introduce to your hobbies. My boyfriend had little knowledge on anime and Asian dramas but he's slowly becoming a fan and it's fun to see him enjoy something I love.

I think you should wait until you graduate high school first.

yeah try college girls, i'm nerdy girl but I found a guy that was nerdy like me in college. but I'm a little more nerdier than him :3

In time you'll find a girl with the same interests really. Maybe not all the same but keep an open mind the nerdy doesn't mean likes all the same things as you. Besides you meet tons in college specially in art classes if you major in that.

I have an anime club at my school that pulls about 50 people every other day, and a lot of couples have met there, does your school have any clubs or things like that where you could hang out and meet cool people, but also enjoy club activities? tha might be an idea to look into.

It all depends really. Conventions are fine, to be honest most people at conventions are very friendly and have no issues making conversation with someone. There's even speed dating at some anime conventions (FanimeCon had a Speed Dating event this year).

You could also just make conversation with people whilst out shopping. I know I've had numerous conversations in comic stores or video game stores just out of the blue. It's all about finding the confidence to initiate conversation and you're set. Most nerdy women won't be the "Ew get the fuck away from me" type, and if they ARE like that then fuck them. Those kinds of women, the bitchy kind, aren't worth anyone's time anyway.

I'm a cosplay loving girl! I would love if some guy came up to me to tell me I was cosplaying his fav character and if he thought it was a nice cosplay. For me I cosplay to show people how much I like a character so speaking to other people having the same interest makes me really happy. So next time I think you should tell people if you like their cosplays. (ps I think they would feel honoured if you ask for a picture too lol)
