You bet. Let's see who wins... ratings-wise. I'd bet Vince will up the ante with big-time matches.
Hulk Hogan got this man!

How irony works. I don't like TNA, but hopefully they don't suffer the ignominy that was WCW's fate. The ingredients are all there - former WWE stars, Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett, Eric Bischoff, and Hogan. It's basically WCW Nitro formula, but with Dixie Carter in charge and not Bischoff.
Let's see who crashes the party.

@DarkStyleEagle: TNA's popular in Canada I hear. Can't blame you.
OK, so Monday's done. I'll be downloading both shows, and I'll preview it by that.

Most Canadians treat wrestling like a real sport and not a show like most people in the US. It also helps that Canada produces some of the best technical wrestlers in history. The people know their wrestling here.

Yep (on the bolded part) *nods* they do. So "the other one" is more wrestling than entertainment, it's pretty pop for them in there.
Although WWE owns/owned the majority of the Canadian-bred or Canadian-trained wrestlers there (Harts, Chris Jericho, Benoit, Edge, Christian, Lance Storm, et cetera).
... OK, so I've watched both TNA iMPACT! and WWE RAW, and tell you the truth, one was concentrated on the show and one was concentrated on hype-building. Guess which is what.
Spoiler:
And, Azuran's right - wrestling fans won on this awesome Monday. They got to see good shows with fanwatch-worthy content in one regular Monday. 7 milion viewers of wrestling on a Monday? Highest point since a long time ago.
The ratings didn't reflect as much - since they're TV-14, iMPACT! considerably have a smaller audience share compared to Raw. No contest there - TNA's still all hype and no movement yet. If three hours of Hogan gets a best of 1.5 and one hour of Raw and Bret gets a 3.9, TNA's still a far long-shot to go, they can't even beat SmackDown YET.

I don't like TNA but I watched the first hour of it just to waste time. It's really pathetic how they're trying to compete with WWE. I'm not saying WWE is great, in fact I can't stand this PG crap and weak stories, but the audience they have is just overwhelming for TNA. And Jeff Hardy on TNA again? HA! I guess they have a lighter policy on drugs. Isn't he facing some hefty possession charges? Oh well. He'll be a good asset... for the time being.
And RAW was okay. I loved seeing Bret Hart again. The two hours felt worth it just for that.
The only match that was any good was Orton and Kofi. They're in the only interesting rivalry in WWE.
Then other stuff happened. I got excited that Evan Bourne may be getting a push, but that idea got squashed faster than he did.
Jeri-Show lost. So can we end this Jericho wanting to stay on RAW thing now? It's stupid and doesn't make sense.
And I need to get this off my chest about Sheamus. If they want to make him seem like a legitimate champion, they need to make him do something to earn it. All he's done is beat up mid-carders and win the title accidentally. He has barely higher credibility than a common super heavyweight. It's crap and I hate seeing it every week!

Seriously, a 3-time world champion and one of the most popular WWE stars is relegated to the X-division? Who's booking that shit? Hardy should be competing for the main title and not with jobbers like Homicide.
TNA doesn't know how to use talent. They should have promoted the shit out of Jeff. He's way more popular with the younger fan base than Hogan.

Yeah, Sheamus has to be the worst WWE champion we've had in a long time. No promo time and short ass matches are not helping his cause. It also doesm't help that the show doesn't revolve around him. Seriously, the WWE doesn't take him seriously as a champ, so why should we?
The sooner he loses the belt, the better. I was willing to give him a chance but he failed completely in my eyes.

I have not been catching up with WWE updates these days, but I did look for some videos on youtube regarding Bret Hart's return on RAW the other day. I am disappointed that they did not play his old theme song. Neither did he give out his glasses to some kid. :)

Wow, a heel vs heel match at the Rumble. I didn't see that one coming at all. Hopefully Orton regains the title but sadly, I don't see it happening. His Legacy buddies are probably gonna screw him somehow.
Well, at least it's something different. I really interested in how the crowd reacts in that match. Orton is probably gonna be the "face" in the eyes of the fans just because he's a lot more established.
Also, I don't have to cheer for Cena in a match against Shemus again. Yay!

Especially if Kofi won.
Of course with Cena not in a title match, he'll be in the Rumble meaning there's a 99.999999999999% chance he'll win it.
Then we get Cena vs. Orton ALL OVER AGAIN!!! /suicide face
And if White Lightning does retain, he'll have to lose it hella fast because he's years away from 'Mania worthy and they need to build a substantial rivalry for WM between the champ and challenger. They can't waste anymore time with Whitey McPotatoBreath.

A: because like you said, he's established and B: Crowds recently have loved him. Orton gets cheered against face guys all the time.
I've personally been cheering Orton ever since he started kicking guys in the head and having mild seizures in the middle of matches. I love me some Psycho sauce. :D

WWE Royal Rumble Predictions:

ROYAL RUMBLE! My second favorite PPV of the year is almost here. I can't wait. The Road to Wrestlemania officially starts tonight. This time the Rumble is awesome because we have no idea who's winning unlike last year. Undercard looks a bit weak but that's nothing new when it comes to this PPV.
Matches:
WWE Women's Championship Match: Michelle McCool (c) vs. Mickie James

After the last Smackdown, my interest for this match went down the drain completely. The storyline is so damn stupid and childish. It also doens't help that Michelle has gotten the upper hand throughout the entire feud. It just makes James look like a weak person. Logic would dictate Mickie wins tonight, but this is Micheel McCool we're talking about. I wouldn't be surprise if she holds the belt all the way to next year's WM.
Well, at least the divas got a storyline going this time. That's always good.
Winner: Michelle McCool
ECW Championship Match: Christian (c) vs. Ezekiel Jackson

Christian is the man on ECW. He's clearly above the rest of the roster is kinda hard to see him ever losing the title. Zeke is a good match because he's big so if Christian loses against him, nobody will raise their heads in confusion. Don't see Jackson winning the title tonight though. I see Christian successfully defending his title for the last time on a PPV. After that, he probably loses it to Zeke or someone else at No Way Out Elimination Chamber (Someone actually gets paid for coming up with these names? Seriously?) and then he's free to move on to bigger things.
Winner: Christian
WWE Championship Match: Sheamus (c) vs. Randy Orton

Sheamus sucks. Orton rules. WWE hates me.
Winner: Sheamus
World Heavyweight Championship Match: The Undertaker (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Does anyone actually see Rey Rey winning this? Yeah, me neither.
Winner: The Undertaker
30-Man Royal Rumble Match

I won't even bother predicting this. All I know is that I want someone new to win. Come on John Morrison, I'm rooting for ya. (He's probably gonna get eliminated in less than 30 seconds just because he's my favorite in the match)
Winner: Anyone but HHH, Cena, or Batista.

@Azuran: nice set. Dead-on with everything except the Women's Championship match ^_^
And the winner is...

EDGE!
Finally. At the least, we'll get to see a credible WM26 headline match. Hopefully we don't get to see Sheamus vs Edge, that'll be too academic. Try... Edge vs Cena Edge vs Taker Edge vs Punk Edge vs Jericho. That'll be a good one because they're both on SD!, and there was a previous altercation that set the precedent (after NOC last year) where Jericho buried Edge for being injured and made him look like a face, not to mention it frees Raw to play Irish fiddle with Sheamus. Although Edge vs Punk is good, it's too contrasting but it's worth a long shot. But I want to see him fight Jericho... if Jericho can snag the WH Championship from Taker soon and leave Taker to fight HBK.
Also, wtf!? Beth Phoenix in the Rumble? Apparently WWE's trying to get Chyna edged out by a tad bit on the "only woman in the rumble" privilege ^_^

For a moment there, I thought that was the Glam-Haas ^_^
