WWE WRESTLING

RAW: It was a good feeling for majority of the hour, with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels "burying the hatchet" and shaking hands, with a somewhat reluctant hug there. But I do think they really buried the hatchet much earlier, say like backstage. MVP vs Miz, possibly at the Royal Rumble? Awesome. DX vs Jerishow was average but not a bomb by a long shot. Sheamus vs Bourne was a squash, but decent. Randy Orton vs Kofi is just getting started, apparently. Could be a long rivalry if WWE wants it.

And Vince kicking Bret - pure Mr. McMahon character there. May be a buildup for Wrestlemania - how does Bret vs Vince sound? Pretty good.

TNA: A lot of surprises, especially Ric Flair and Jeff Hardy coming in, which could be a difference either way. Seven matches were booked, but it was apparent from the first hour they were going to overload it with segments. As it turns out, the whole three-hour pan was like a sandwich slathered with a generous amount of peanut butter called Segments. It was all Hogan and Bischoff for the night, along with a lot of former WWE stars in tow. Not to mention strong vibes of renewing an nWo-like faction with Hogan returning to the nWo beard style and the music strongly sounding like an nWo theme, but since Vince owns nWo trademark, TNA might as well think of a new one.

I watched it, and it was obviously a show with HOGAN in big letters, minute in to minute out, all Hogan. The only match that was worthy of good mention was Styles vs Angle, which was the Angle special - wrestling, pure and simple.

VIEWPOINT: WWE did it best to ignore TNA and instead concentrate on its show content, and it did. Best course for WWE is to ignore TNA for the time being, could be beneficial. TNA is still far from being a legit competitor anyway - probably more or less two years is good, and TNA being not PG is an advantage for WWE.

TNA, on the other hand, after this episode, in my standpoint, should be worried about itself and its identity more than how they're "building" compared to WWE Raw - their roster is studded with former WWE stars. Add in 7+ more from the Hogan bandwagon and it's like Nitro all over again.

FOOTNOTES: I kinda noticed it just now: WWE's currently trying to invest on the young wrestlers while TNA's currently loaded with old and over-32 wrestlers, majority of which were former WWE stars.

TNA can't escape reality: the more former WWE stars they absorb, the more they look like WWE, or the WCW of old for that matter... I dunno if their income is large enough to support them all over there.

I got 35 out of 38. I can't believed I missed Jeff Hardy after writing just about him. I also missed Buddy Rogers (first champion) and the Iron Shiek.

Damn it. I can't believed I missed three easy ones.

Got all 32 champions with 04:41 remaining. YEAH!
