I think it's more of a deciding fight for both of them. Remember, these are OLD dudes, and they were both at the very first episode of Raw. And they're the only remaining active wrestlers in WWE that were in that first Raw episode.
I don't see 'Taker fighting as regularly as he was a few years back then, it's obvious age is slowly taking its toll on him. And so is Shawn.
Potentially, the loser of this match could wind up in a semi-retired state. And I guess it could be Shawn.

If I'm not mistaken, Taker is taking time off later this year for a hip replacement (!).
I see him keeping his streak intact, it's practically a thing of lore now; nobody beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, ever.
If anyone ever takes the streak, it'll be somebody young, and somebody who's popular enough that they could start a streak of their own; the WWE doesn't have much in the way of current "traditions", there's no way they'd blow it on someone like Shawn Michaels, who's also on his way out and really won't "benefit" from the title of Undertaker Killer.

Taker vs. HBK wasn't as good as last year, but still really really good. Despite being age and injury ridden, I'm surprised Taker still moves so well. Jumping tombstone was nice.
Money in the bank was great, Jericho/Edge wasnt too bad, Orton vs. DiBiase/Rhodes was hilarious.

I still can't believe Chris Jericho won. Dude never wins at Mania. Epic.
Man, I'm gonna miss HBK (Assuming his retiring for real of course. You can't never tell).

Hopefully hbk will retain his dignity. I'd be pissed if I turned on the tv to hear "WHAT'S SHAWN MICHAELS DOING IN THE IMPACT ZONE!?!"
Flair pissed me off when he did that after such a good sendoff.

I agree. It was a good sendoff. If Flair would have the heart to "come out of retirement"... he should have put off the WM24 "retirement" match.
Although technically, he IS "retired" only on the WWE ring. And face it, he needs the cash.

Haha, that's what I thought too... Jericho never wins at 'Mania, now he did.
I guess Edge is the first Rumble winner to NOT win the title when he used his opportunity at WM. But I think WWE's trying to make a long-term rivalry, something that could possibly culminate at Summerslam.
And I think HBK's retiring for good. Although a few appearances here and there like Stone Cold does would be next for Shawn. He had a very good career indeed.
I shudder to think how WWE will handle Undertaker's retirement next. A few Wrestlemanias more probably.

Not gonna lie, if I wasn't in a room full of people the first time I saw these tights, I woulda rubbed one out.

Also, I coulda swore he had his beloved Pepsi logo where that lil' red-white-blue stripe was. Woulda made sense, ya know?
I was crushed to see Edge lose and not become a hard-assed babyface, instead it looks like he'll turn into a psychotic heel. I has sad.

I thought if Jericho won, Batista would also an all heel champions, guess not. Seems here HBK really is going...after a chokeslam, last ride, multiple tombtones, the triangle hold Shawn still gets up. But after a jumping tombstone piledriver he didn't.
Also looks like the Undertaker really twisted his ankle here. So it seems there is a reason why all his finishers aren't that 100% effective on Michael's. Lucky for Shawn.

That is so bitter sweet. More than a job, it's a lifestyle, the thing that touched me in his speech is "Daddy's coming home." That is one of the MOST PRECIOUS things a father can say to anyone and his family.
Guess it's really true he's going. Thank You Shawn!!!!!
