CM Punk now dons a matador mask.



I don't think it's cool. He could just have sported a bald dome. But it could extend his rivalry with Rey Mysterio, and give him extra income with merchandise.

How awesome would that be to see little kids by ringside wearing SES masks?!

Well, true. That's why I added the "merchandise" part... although pious Christian parents would have a hard time coming to terms that their wrestling-fan sons are wearing black matador masks with inverted stars on their foreheads. I say this because we had an uproar at our church a few years ago, pious churchgoers were protesting a design on the new stained glass window that did look like an inverted five-point star.

This could be a good one for Punk, and I think it can do wonders with feud extension with Rey... mask vs mask. Goody.

While the matches have been good to decent, I really don't want to see another Punk vs. Mysterio gimmick match.

Punk needs to win the WHC again. Probably won't happen right now though because there's no way a heel is taking the title away from Swagger. He's probably gonna take the pin at F4W.

Well then. But I'm curious since it was anticlimatic... on second thoughts it can be interesting as to whom Punk can feud at this point. Kane?

I'm always slightly saddened when I hear some people mention him as a favorite wrestler. He's a wrestler's wrestler, to say the least, and he's good at it. Then he flushed his career violently down the drain.



Still wrestles, main event level, but is evidently slowing down and may be given the honorable retirement sometime soon over the next few years.

That kinda reminded me of the WWE Invasion where the WCW and ECW wrestlers gang up on the WWE. Old script still entertaining though.

As a result, Bryan Danielson got fired. Word is that him choking Justin Roberts with his tie (I guess the script was to be improvised) got over the PG rating.

Really sad to see shawn michaels off... hes been there forever...im gonna watch some of his classic matches now =w=b

I guess everything Bryan said was right. They do hate Indie guys that make it big. Or else they would've fired a lot of guys by now. Damn WWE hypocrites

CM Punk is a big indie star before WWE signed him up, almost as big as Danielson's. They don't hate indie guys entirely; if the indie guy has a shtick that works, a gimmick that's marketable, don't expect WWE to ignore them.

I do expect Danielson to come back though. He's marketable although he needs to work on discretion.

The Reason why Bryan Danielson was released because he Broke PG Rules It is being reported by various sources that the reason Daniel Bryan was released by WWE was because he broke a WWE rule and went against the WWE PG code of conduct.

The issue WWE had was over Bryan choking ring announcer Justin Roberts during the RAW NXT Invasion with Justin's own tie. The non-choking rule was apparently put in place post-Benoit tragedy which states you cannot use ropes or other objects to choke your opponents.

Many believe this to be a work but as WWE has never staged a fake firing in this way before and made it such a public issue others believe Bryan has been released.

As noted before, the reason being told for Daniel Bryan's release is because of him choking Justin Roberts with his own tie during the NXT invasion angle on RAW.

Word is that someone very important complained to WWE officials about the angle with the idea that kids who were watching may think it's fun to choke people with their ties. It's unknown who actually complained but it had to be someone with a lot of power within the company or TV network.

Bryan is being described as a scapegoat by many. It should be noted that Heath Slater nearly did the same thing to John Cena with the ring ropes during the same angle on RAW last week. Randy Orton was also bashed with a door by Edge several weeks ago.

According to a source, WWE does want to bring him back to the roster once the whole thing blows over.

A Benoit rule? Why didn't management just say "no choking" or something? They tell them to go wild but they fire a guy for following vague orders.
