Nope. Simply didn't renew his contract.
Anyway, WWE is building younger, more long-term wrestlers (e.g. Sheamus) and ones like Batista are simply hogging the main event card, he's already in his 40's and he gets too frequently injured, let him go, since too many wrestlers at the main event level is a bad thing especially when they're all in line for one top-tier title only.
Although I'll give credit that Batista is a very marketable guy and he can sell storylines decently.
Last I heard he was babbling to TMZ that he's headed to Strikeforce (MMA, same route Bobby Lashley took).
God, I'll pay huge money to see that brute submit to a real MMA fighter. Let Fedor kick his ass.

Anyways Batista is a good heel character than a face. John Cena when he was a heel character I liked him more, now the only thing that impresses me with John Cena is his strength. Do you think in an actual MMA fight John Cena can win? Hmm...brute strength isn't always the edge in MMA.

Other Smackdown news seems Luke Gallows isn't happy for CM Punk forgiving Selina from drinking in a bar a few weeks back. Thus this mean the end of the strait edge society? AKA SES?

Remember, winning MITB is for building careers. Royal Rumble is for building a solid main eventer. And this PPV... might as well call it the "Career Push PPV".

Holy crap, that match was stacked from top to bottom. Edge, Christian, Kane, Jericho, You Know Who, and Shelton. Anyone could have won that day. The spots were better and since they only had 6 people, everyone made an impact in that match. Shelton's running clothesline on Jericho is still awesome as hell.
Oh yeah, that also led to Edge winning the title later on. Awesome match!

We're all on the same page here as MITB goes.
My personal favs on MITB match was 21 and the latest Jack Swagger winning.
Taking account for the storylines where the old main eventers namely Shawn Michael's,HHH, Undertaker...etc have been taken out is a brilliant move to have more rookies and upcoming stars on WWE to shine. I'll be waiting for a Drew McIntyre and Sheamus rival soon in the WWE. Much like Batista and Cena before they both went to the WWE.
