You ever color / dye your hair?

Simple question. Im curious because I'm thinking of dyeing my ultra dark brown hair (basically black in normal lighting,) hair to be dark violet. Really dark. Basically replace the really dark brown highlights of my hair with a really dark purple. If you have ever dyed or recolored your hair, then why?

I have a lot of grey/white hairs so maybe just my natural hair color.(black)


I don't like the look of most unnatural dyed hair, and even though it's a stereotype, people with crazy hair colors usually give me the "I'm a special snowflake from Tumblr" vibes.

I have no tumblr, but I do fantasize of being a purple slime girl having awesome sex with my girlfriend ( who has fantasizes being a plant girl, Alura Une to be exact)

If me wanting to become a purple grape flavored slime girl does not make me a special snowflake already... Then what the fuck will? XD

my hair is not currently coloured, but it used to be perpetually pink or light purple. Im thinking of going back to that too, if i do ill post pictures

I love monster girls too but the glove fits in unsurprisingly well. The stereotype is justified.

My brother's hair used to be pink, then blue, then green. It was lots of different colors. ...That was in high school though.

The "special snowflake syndrome" is kind of what's stopping me from dying my whole head of hair and outrageous color, especially because I hate the special snowflakes of tumblr and have since quit the website due to that reason. ergh.

Maybe one day, though I have yet to see any colour I feel would look good on me. I like most crazy and colourful hair on girls though, but personally I'd get a piercing or tattoo before dyeing my hair.

I had naturally dark but still noticeable brown hair when I was a kid. Gradually darkened into black.

I used to use koolaid to dye my hair after bleaching it.

I used to dye my hair in all sorts of colours, back when I was a 14 year old weeb emo kid. Not anymore though,thank god.

Ive thought about it a few times, nothing outrageous though, maybe just black. Never done it though.

Blue for halloween as a youngun, regularly dye it blue again because I ended up really liking how it looks.

I color my hair a brownish red. You can't really see the red tone until I'm in the sunlight, but the box calls it "Chocolate cherry" so basically just a brunette with a red undertone.

My natural hair color is a mousy brown/blonde color, I color it just to make it look a bit nicer.

My suggestion would be to seriously consider your skin tone. I can't go ultra dark because I have extremely fair skin, so black hair would look terrible on me.

That's pretty much where people muck up with colored hair, they don't consider their natural highlights and how the color would look against their skin tone.

If you want to get a vibrant color, I'd suggest getting it professionally done so they can make sure the color turns out properly.

My hair is naturally brown, though I usually dye it crimson red, royal blue or purple just because I find it fun to change it up now and again. Sometimes as a group we'll dye our hair all different combinations for charity events. I keep it brown more often than not now just cause I like my colour of hair, though as I said, change can be nice.

I have never perm dyed my hair, I have for halloween and I didn't like it.

Wait, you can make dyes with kool aid? Cool. I'm going to google that and relieve boredom.

Back when I was in high school I did purple and then blue. As I got older I feel there isn't a point and I think I look better in my natural hair color now.

i've never dyed my hair simply because my onee-san dyed hers in dark red and i didnt like her hair so i thought that it wont work on me too ;/

my natural colour's a dark blonde but a few years ago i went bright red because i've always liked the idea of really bright unnatural colours! after a while i went "atomic blue" and now i'm currently on violet, plan on changing it again in the near future :)
