You ever color / dye your hair?

For cosplay yes, permenantly, thinking about it

When I was little my hair was a light brown which got darker as I got older.

During my college years I went through a goth phase I wasn't completely into because I just wanted to fit in with my friends at the time. Wasn't a fan of the music, hated the dress sense. Bit I digress, during the "phase" I went black. Gave up with it though and have never gone back to black.

At this point I've decided to go through with dying my hair a dark dark purple.
Not only will my hair stay about as dark as it is now, but the purple will complement Cherry's light blonde hair very nicely. Besides. Purple is my favorite color.

I also learned that my ultra dark brown hair is called "Natural Black" and that those with eastern Asian ethnicity have the genes for Jet Black hair... Hair that is actually black and not just really really dark brown

I dyed my hair light brown when I cut it all off simply because I wanted a new look.

Im so jealous that youre dying your hair! My grandmother and mom would obliterate me if I dyed my hair!

Btw for those of you that are familiar, is it hard to dye black hair cause I have black hair...

When I was fourteen I tried to dye my hair. I wanted peroxide blonde, but it went wrong and ended up yellow. I'm getting grey since I am 20 years old and I like it.

eh i think people not dying their hair to avoid being a snowflake is a bit silly... it takes a lot more than some hair dye to turn you into one.


I think dark purple on already dark hair would look amazing, and you wouldn't have to bleach it which is a plus.



i dyed my hair because i got seduced by red. o-o;

i used to love my hair because it was so odd. I was incredibly plain jane and unremarkable otherwise... when i was little i was born with brown hair, then it went red, then platinum blond. all in a short time frame. so i had 3 different hair colors at one time, in a row, in lines. it looked like someone died my hair red, but the tips brown, and then my hair had grown out/ blonde roots were showing.

that is the only pic i have of it, cuz people accused my mom of dying my hair... so she didn't want any evidence of my hair. she got it cut short soon as she was able.

it grew out platinum blonde/dirty blonde. so it was dark or light depending on light. *more baby pics to show the differences*

and as i got older it just got darker and darker. highschool hit it was more light brown or honey blonde. i took a photography class and discovered the lights there made it go slightly red. most people it makes their hair go lighter, it is natural for hair to look much different under it, but mine went red, something i didn't even know it had a hint of so i was like *sqquuuueeee* so cool! =D

fell in love with red. was like i'm dying you red hair! and i have very pale skin, and a plain looking face, but the red just popped nicely. turned me from a mouse to a vibrant looking person. i loved it. experimented with some other crazy colors, bleached it, destroyed it. said fuck you hair i'm wearing wigs now >_>;


now i highly recommend wigs if you want to try a crazy color, if you have long hear/need multiple bottles and plan to dye it more than once it is a lot cheaper, and a lot easier on your hair. but like i said, long as you stay away from bleaching it isn't so bad to dye your hair. and if you do bleach it get it done by a professional, not a bleach kit.
