Guess switched to Mediafire. But now, we don't have another alternative beside mediafire and that indeed saddening.

the flaw is that mediafire has file size limits of 200 mb, as opposed to 500 megs off megaupload. Lots of stuff needs to be reuploaded though now, or back to torrents I guess.

i hope megaupload is able to get themselves free from the lawsuit even though its highly unlikely...

Kind of sad that this happened. Maybe multiupload is the next alternative? Though I'm not sure what's the max upload file size. Otherwise it's going to suck for uploaders to split file size to 200MB and upload them to mediafire.

What blows my mind is that the people they arrested do not even live in the US. This is straight up terrorism and I don't see how this could hold up in trial. Now the only question is if they blocked the site pending trial or completely took everything down. This whole situation is just insane to me from a legal standpoint and keep in mind this is WITHOUT SOPA.

If this case holds up it could lead to the biggest slippery slope in legal history with website holders having to be accountable for every piece of uploader content. If this case goes through then everything from Facebook to Youtube is fair game.

Yeah I think switching to torrents would be a really good idea, Faster download speeds and you can download everything with one torrent.
