They atleast do something not whine like "pussehs"
We should just say thanks to them.

Aah and btw how does this sad News affect "Fakku"
Because i don't need to be telepate to understand that rapishare and mediafire will go down sooner or later.

Rapidshare will last a lot longer, if it even does go down. They've already won lawsuits against them regarding situations very similar to this.

It's not foolproof (things change), but they do have precedent on their side.

Well.. what I meant was that anon will probably go full force if politics doesn't stop. And yeah that's true we should say thanks to them. They're our freedom fighters.
<---- Already did
And I don't think I'd be that easy now that there is a lot more opposition to SOPA or whatever it was because of what anon did. All I can say is this: It is always easier to destroy something than to build it. So as long as they continue to do this. I'm sure anon will and can't be stopped. And Fakku is already changing though because MU had almost all of the VN's.
<--- Still sad

That's a good hope in light to this crisis. I hope the same thing happens to MU.

I don't want to make a "topic" about this, but Please refrain from requesting (spamming) posts for mirror links. Try googling or torrent first.
Honestly,
We should just stay calm for a bit, before doing anything. Who knows that next week will be "your favorite" uploading host next. It would be a waste if uploaders made a mirror to get it wiped out in a matter of days.
Let's just wait and see.

mediafire started deleting files and downloadlinks, same as hotfile.
Filesonic and fileserve are gone as well.
uploaded closed its doors.
4shared lost nearly 75% of its content
megaupload has been put on trial
Uploadstation and Filejungle are no more.
what are the alternatives?
wait and use available mediafire/depositfiles links if available, hotfile is fine too, before it is doomed.
turbonit and oron sucks, don't use them.

well fuck i knew that i shouldn't have waited any longer to start my mass VN download :(
oh well, i'll just wait what happens after a week has passed - it would really suck a lot if mediafire gets taken down too...

As terrible as Megaupload getting taken down, and most of the other major file sharing sites getting scared by that is... When in need, geeks (and to some extent Pirates) will out. There will be a new site, or some new service or software to replace megaupload. These may be chaotic times, everyone wondering what they'll do now that their links are dead. But as long as someone holds the information somewhere, it will end up accessible to those like us unable to buy Japanese visual novels. Like Kaimax said, for now we should probably be just calm.

So the Feds have the power to take down site where it host not even in the US?... from my understanding megaupload based is in china and they can file this on them? while site like piratebay STILL up?.... WOW.... -_-
If I'm wrong anywhere plz clarified for me.

If what I have heard is true, Megaupload is mostly in China with a few rented servers in the US. The owners and others that were arrested for it were in New Zealand. Again, this is only what I have heard from other fourms or anti sopa videos on youtube.

It's true, Megaupload's team were spotted in New Zealand and brought to America for trial.
Mediafire's Owner is still located in Australia but i definitely don't want to trade places with him.

info from hiryuu fansub;
"Now that Megaupload is down, several other filehosts have decided to change their way of doing things, including Fileserve, as a result we’ll need new hosts.
First, let’s take a brief look at some changes to the current hosts.
Fileserve: Deleting files, using a file-check to prevent reuploading deleted files. Also closed the rewards program.
Uploadstation: One of Fileserve’s sites, as well as what FS is doing, they’re also blocking some US IPs.
Filejungle: The same as Uploadstation.
Filesonic: I didn’t know this was owned by Fileserve! Either having issues, or forcing non UK users to purchase premium accounts. Given what FS is doing, it’s likely best to avoid it anyhow.
Uploaded: Banned US IPs.
FilePost: Banning accounts that have infringing material.
Wupload: Part of Fileserve so I’m going to guess the same stuff is happening to it.
A number of others closed their rewards programs too. Less of a concern, but I’ll be completely honest, I’m going to favour a stable filehost that rewards over one that doesn’t.
Now then, the candidates going forward:
netload.in: Seems fine, though upload is a little slow. Has a rewards program.
Rapidshare: Me and RS are not friends.
Filedropper: Upload far too slow, painfully so.
x7.to: A little gem, amazing upload speed and it has a rewards program.
Uploadking: Website extremely slow, I immediately lost all faith.
Shragle: Max filesize is 1gb."
they say wait a month for the cooldown, which is probably a good idea, to wait a month b4 "VN" reuploads, itd be a waste to put up a 3 gig vn to have media drag it down.

no they dont have that power, its a abuse of power.
i dont understand what you mean? pirate bay doesn't do anything bad, closing pirate bay is equivalent to closing google because they link to tokyotoshokan, hongfire, bakaupdates, fakku, ect. the difference between pirate bay and megaupload, pirate bay doesn't have any of the content themselves.
edit 1: some extra info on what did/is happening, Info from reuters, loving how much there bad mouthing him, now if only they did that for the us companies.
edit 2: umm guys.. things got worse it seems... ACTA

uoh... that's bad. But in light of things the UK can't officially do that because one they already have problems with riots since the start this depression if they did that then I'm pretty sure its going to become worse. Also, from what I've been reading, a lot of people in the parties are opposed to it. So it would last a long time because of debate and stuff.
I agree with other people to calm down but I don't think it will calm down in a month. A lot of people are pissed and angry. If they push for this more I'm afraid that they will get a nice counter from anon and other people that have been neutral for a while. Plus, an animal is more aggressive when it is pushed to a corner. The only annoying thing is that the sites are getting scared. They should fight back they will only continue to lose business if they continue what they are doing. So let's say about 3 months or so of patience since I'm pretty sure the governments that are trying to do this will be obstinate and try not to bend over and give up. But in my opinion the internet is the FREEDOM of this generation and the future. If they are willing to take that down or filter them then I will feel robbed of my freedom. I wasn't raised in a society with limited freedom so I will feel really depressed if that happens.
I'm a free soul. I do things because I feel like doing it. And I prefer it that way.

i agree the internet is freedom, it is a zone created by people that government is trying to control which is wrong, and i support anon in all honesty, this is internet warfare no 2 ways about it. the US government is invading the internet domain because businesses failed at there attempt of monopoly. its really depressing when the people who are suppose to protect you are trying to take away every freedom you have and trow you into a battle zone, when there first concern is the people who make living from hard to impossible. -_-'
