definately RE series. Since your playing digimon, play the card battle version, not the one in the digimon 3. Digimon 3 is nice, played until almost at the end but never had a chance to finish it since my psx broke down.....

Azure Dreams, and I can't believe no one has recommended it yet but, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Also, Threads of Fate is one of Squaresoft's best action RPGs, especially for the PSX. Legend of Mana is also a pretty good action RPG but it's one of those games that people either love it or hate it.

Threads of fate.Abit short,but you will love the characters and music.There is a certain amount of re playability too.
Tenchu(cant remember if it was wrath or stealth assassins).Fun ninja action which doesnt involve stomping on people in broad day light.

To be accurate that was metal gear not metal gear solid
another point is a that point cyborg ninja is known as frank jaegar/gray fox,not a ninja yet.
