The red sun in the background just makes me think of Japan, making my mind confused cus of the fucking pyramid beside it.

Anyway I thought it was confirmed AC3 would be set in the modern day? Or i'm just remembering shit wrong.

Kinda hoping this is a new IP, looks interesting-ish.

Well there are rumors between fans that the if the next AC takes place in Japan, it would be set somewhere between the Edo and Meiji period (for those who don't know their world history, it was around this time when foreigners where allowed into the country albeit, limited).

So don't give your hopes up, Ubisoft might just take the suggestion.

At this point I feel any future game would basically be the same game though, just with a different setting slapped onto it.

I have a feeling that Assassin Creed won't be just trilogy ...

Okay, about Assassin from Egypt ...
you see .. the sign that most believe that it is Assassin Symbol (the one with eagle mark)'s design gone too far from the original Assassin Creed Symbol ..

as we see on Assassin Creed 2 .. there was a long time range between AC2 and its predecessor ... but the symbol still the same ..

Is it just me or i cannot see that Red Hidden Blade clearly ....

But in short, i would really love to see Assassin from Egypt if it is legit

I think the red sun is simply referencing to the ending of AC2.

And Egypt would make sense, considering all the myths/theories surrounding the pyramids.

Egypt would be pretty sweet. Would fit the story with its magical happenings and shit.

As for Japan, that's where AC team thought about setting the 2nd game but changed their minds. So who knows Egypt might be thrown out of the picture as well, but it seems like it'd be harder since I hear it's suppose to come out Q4 of 2011.

Maybe AC3 will be split into two different stories, like in LoK - Defiance. We will be playing Desmond and Egypt assassin as well.

I was under the impression that the third would just be Desmond kicking ass

Maybe it will be in Egypt, but in the present day. Maybe the Assassins discover that the pyramids are some sort of devices that the "dudes that came before" left behind and that the templars want to get their hands on them. Or, better yet, maybe it will be a bigger game than the previous two, and it will take place in a number of countries with Desmond kicking ass in modern [insert countries here], while discovering new secrets from different ancestors in the animus, while travelling to the designated locations.

Well AC brotherhood feels like an expansion (seen the trailer?)
But still awesome, but will it finish Ezio's arc?
Ubisoft should really finish Altair's arc before going anywhere else
