Be a boring winner, or be a fun loser?
would you rather win every game, but be bored out of your mind, or lose every game, but have a good challenge.

Okay, so I play this game called Blacklight Tango Down. I have the PS3 version. Now, the game has a pretty small community. It's common to go online and not find anyone. And usually, when I do, they suck complete shit. As in so bad I won a TD game, 1 vs. 3, without camping (you can't spawn camp, invincible machine guns protect spwn. I just sprinted back between their to spawn exit points. ). I got 74-2 and have a overall 3.0 kdr. Now, occasionally I find some good people. The thing is they don't have a team full of idiots that don't know how to flank and always rush.
So the question is, would you rather win every game, but be bored out of your mind, or lose every game, but have a good challenge. You'll still end up above a 1.0 kdr (like 24-7 etc.), but your overall kdr will go down.

It might sound stupid but I love losing... getting a lot of game overs and stuff coz when you actually win, theres a great feeling of achievement. But I won't say winning is boring though, maybe if seriously theres no more challange factor in it, like always winning coz theres actually a big difference in skill between players.

It depends, in a video-game for example Call Of Duty, I would much rather oser but have a great time- I usually don't lose though. But if this rule applies to life, i'd like to win all the time.

Fairly situational question.
For example TF2.
If I'm just pubbing against obvious terrible servers I'll probably use more challenging or more fun weapons but still try to win but wouldn't care if I lost since I don't really care all that much. In the end I still end up pubstomping those servers. Example? Sticky jumper caber, Fat scout, Punching only Heavy, Market Gardener + mantread kills only Soldier, etc.
If it's in a server where I'm forced to be on a really bad team and the other team is stacked then I'll just find another server. The problem with this is that when the other team is coordinated or has a decent idea of what they're doing and your team is braindead it ends up being 1 vs the team and trying to carry your team is impossible if again the other team is competent enough. And trying to fool around against a competent team isn't fun either as they don't really give you the opportunities to abuse what you want to do.
If it's against good players and my team isn't bad either then I will use standard setup and wear my tryhard pants, because it's always best to end your playing time with a great run as you feel well satisfied. Never fun to end your night's gaming losing and most likely you'll just keep trying and trying no matter how frustrated you get to get rid of your anger and get that satisfaction you so desire, examples for me: platformers, puzzles, fighting games, or FPS's.

prefers to be a loser. it's just a game. winning inside a game with no rewards is just... well, lonesome. i play s4 and i prefer 4-5 ppl chasing me than actually scoring a TD. the challenge of taking them down is much more exciting than going to the enemy base with the rest of the team

I'd rather lose in a good game, sure. Although i'd much rather win of course. But as long as it was a good game, then the game has done it's job and has entertained me.
Like today, i was a free for all in MW3 by 1 kill. It was a very close game. My heart was pounding. And then that feeling you get after you win in such a close game.... awesome.
But in battlefield, i play conquest. If it's completely one sided then i hate it. I usually just leave then if it's constantly one sided. I want it to be a struggle. I want bullets flying everywhere. I want to get that feeling of being pinned down and if i move an inch from behind a rock, i would die instantly. I want to be bailed out of a tank blowing me to bits by a helicopter that just happened to be passing by. I think that's what the developers had in mind for the game.

Its always a thrill for me to play against a decent opponent (but not to the point where I'm completely dominated). I don't care if I lose every match, if I come close to winning a few then I'm satisfied.

I love both I enjoy them. I always win the second try never takes a third play :)... Exept this one guy at school on FF dissidia he beats me like I'm a noob. Anyway when I lose it makes me get serious. Then I kick their ass and get that feeling of accomplishment.

I don't mind losing if the game is a challenge, and I've actually fallen asleep at my computer before because I got so bored of easy wins.
