Annihilator Beam in Metriod prime 2 echoes.
Dark + light = Echo = Pro
Super missile combo killed almost everything in one hit.
Also It locked on automatically to the closet target or lock on yourself and it will seek out its target.

Didn't think of those... >.<
I'm actually playing through the Prime games again right now. I can't stand that the game's almost done by the time you get the Annihilator Beam when I could be using it now.
Still, at least in MP3: Corruption you get Hyper Mode for most of the game. That was pretty fun, especially at the end when I had energy to spare.

If only Final Fantasy games had New Game+ features (I think only Crisis Core and X-2 do)... That would be one of the few possible improvements to the series that I can think of. In fact, the New Game+ feature could make lots of games better. The DS remake of Final Fantasy IV has a New Game+ feature, but you can only play through three times... I guess they didn't want you to be able to give every character every augment.
As far as end game items go, at the end of Secret of Mana for the SNES you get the spell Mana Magic, which finally allows you to use the Mana Sword, but you can only do so in the final boss fight unless you use a glitch to get an extra Sword Orb so that you can upgrade the Dragon Sword into the Mana Sword permanently. Really the same thing goes for all the top tier weapons in SoM in a way. Normally you can find the Orbs to upgrade the items after defeating bosses or in specific chests related to the story, but in order to get the final orbs you have to continually hunt enemies in the Mana Fortress (final area) until you get the orb you need to drop, which is extremely rare. In about 150+ hours I only ever maxed out the bow and spear...
Also, does anyone else but me remember the secret Hadouken technique in Megaman X? All that effort to unlock it, and so little time to enjoy it.

well idk if yu gi oh tcg counts as a game, but i mean i fair an square got the tyranno infinity, which gets massive attack points REALLY easily. you basically remove from play dinosaurs, and he gets 1000 for each one. sweet deal if you ask me.
video games, main topic, my bad for straying:
i would say the last game that i played that i had to actually do something for a reward was san andreas, where i beat all fire truck missions to become invulnerable to flames. it was so sweet bein able to walk around in fire an not have to worry about health draining. that and reaching hitman status on all weapons without cheating either.

Onimusha 1 and 3... although it's one of the best video game series I've played, it annoyes me that in both games, you get the Bishamon Sword at the VERY END, right before the last boss. While in Onimusha 1, you get it and can kill the last boss with it (roughly 5-10 mins of gameplay at most), Onimusha 3 is a bit worse in that you get the sword (which story-wise, you should have gotten in the 1st game) and it doesnt even let you actually play with it aside from dark realm before Nobunaga's house(which you have already completed to get it). I mean you get the sword, take 5 seconds to walk to the door and then you get in True Oni Form, and you can't use the sword... Stil one of the best games I've played, however.
