Game came out a few days ago and didnt see a thread started for this, wanted to see ppl's opinions on it if they played it. so far i beat the siren's story mode and moving onto the hunter.
the cell-shaded graphics look awesome and lend well to the wasteland that you explore, while the mechanics feel like a mesh of different games together (that works quite well. its an fps with rpg elements (or rps as 2k wants to call it) and the skill system works like the wow talent trees, and equipment takes the style of diablo with guns that have special abilities to it.
the multiplayer is also alot of fun, you can have a friend splitscreen with you and take on the wastes together, or for a better experience go online and do 4 player co-op as each of the individual classes, which by far is an awesome way to go about splatting bad guys.

Borderlands is a ton of great fun. A friend of mine asked me if i could take him to the game store, got home, havent been outside for awhile. the split screen co-op really surprised me, it is really greatly planned out.

Got the game today and have been playing splitscreen. Got to level 10, but called it a night at midnight. Got tired. It's pretty fun so far.
I see catfish and someone else have the game, we should play together sometime.

Gah, I've got the PS3 version, so I can't play with you.
Been playing as Lilith. Been using a, I forget what you call it, handgun that has a fire element on it. Along side a combat rifle.
My brother is playing mordecai with a sniper rifle with a fire element and a shotgun/sometimes handgun.

Been playing 3 player coop with a couple friends and having a lot of fun. Don't really want to stop playing, almost enough to skip class all day.
I'm playing as Mordecai this play through, going as Lilith next. I love Mordecai's Bloodwing pet and sending him out to own a couple faces and fly back. It's hilarious seeing my friend as Brick causing explosions as he punches things.

Get Demon's Souls instead.....lol
No but really it seems good, but not really a must have. It's a shooter and for me shooters all kinda become to bland after a while for me so I'll wait and see after I get Uncharted 2.

bah, of course multi-platform games one big drawback. well, i am planning on getting a ps3 sometime (most likely closer to when ff13 comes out, special bundle announced!), and of course then i'm upgrading my games to that version then (cept the few rare 360 exclusives that are good).
that gun was the clipper i believe, which is pretty nice till you kill the skull guy behind the town. he drops another pistol that fires 2 shots at a time. theres just a ton of guns n variety in this game, and so much to kill.
@hale- yes the bloodwing is awesome, one of the guys i was playing with had it so it would steal health and rip multiple people faces off. and the berserker is just funny
@kyuubi- its cell-shading, kinda like the vesperia games but not anime style. as far as i think it gives the game a quirky view that makes it more fun to explore the wasteland and kill shit by maiming or running over. plus with the way the graphics are designed, it lends to less textural loading errors while your playing

Sorry about my earlier post didn't see this thread already existed in: Master List of Video Game Threads...anyways
Rented it from Gamefly, and I have to say, I like what I'm playing it has a cartoon-esque feel to it and plays like an RPG, it has a bit of comical relief here and there (Claptrap) and has four available classes to choose from, Hunter, Soldier, Siren, and I think Tank/Brick, I picked the Hunter, but plan to try out the others shortly.
The co-ops enjoyable and is easy to pop in and out of.
So If you haven't tried it out yet, do so! ^_^

Just finished it with a friend.
So, who else is a fan of Jacobs weapons? Love my sniper and I'm looking for a Jacobs magnum.

I don't usually post in the video games section since I am not much of a gamer. The only games I know on the various consoles are those I played at my friend's place.
In any case, I thought Borderlands was rather fun. Having a split-screen option allows for friends to play together at the same location. :)
