Cant pass a game or stuck

Really has someone pass for this situation getting stuck in a game because you cant defeat a boss, resolve a puzzle or other things
mi experience:
saga frontier 2 was really a good game but the last dungeon and the boss were so strong that i just have to start over again since you just need to grind a LOT or you will be pawned by that atack xenocide
after that i just stop playing it good rpg but really hard

Sometimes I play games for so many hours that I lose cognitive function and can't work out puzzles. Sometimes I take that as a sign to go to sleep or quit...and sometimes I have a quick look at a guide. I hate myself.

The first rpg I ever played on my own, Grandia 2 for Dreamcast.
I got to one of the near end-game bosses, extremely under-leveled and I couldn't beat it at all.
it did some move and killed the majority of my party and I didn't have enough time to bring everyone back.

It was originally for dreamcast, but they have it for ps2 as well.
I had both versions, but I ended up selling the ps2 before I could finish.
The dreamcast one I had got scratched to kingdom come, was still kinda young and wasn't too keen on proper cd care.

This is just the reason why i dont play RPGs. Im bad with puzzles and i often get caught on the same cut scenes and the same levels all the time, and the last boss, like the author said, is too friggin hard and sometimes you wanna restart the game just to defeat the last boss. :P

Whenever I play a certain action game and come across a point where I'm stuck, faqs are my last and best resort, so I won't miss anything that could aid me in a puzzle or boss fight. Video guides also are a big help if I can't visually picture how to solve it or find items, but these can apply to just good a gamer you really are if there's a really difficult task in the game that seems hard to beat, just try and try again until you can succeed is my gaming credo.

Okay, I got me 3 WTF's.
First, in Murrowind, I had to escort this chick to this temple place to make sure that it was safe. What I was too damn stupid to realize was that I went to the wrong damned temple, and the chick got stuck in an under ground puddle, and she couldn't get out. At that point, I'm like fuck, and I have to restart the entire game.
The second greatest fuck up was when I was doing the same quest, but a different area, and I have to kill these guys and take one of their weapons each. But, for some damned reason, the axe I needed was nowhere. At that point, I just decided to quit.
The last one was in Black Ops. It was at a part where I had to breach a wall, but something happened to one of the guys that was supposed to be with me, and the space where I was supposed to plant the C4 never appeared, but I didn't know that(Firts time playing Black Ops). So I'm spending like 15-20 minutes trying to find out WTF was going on until I just restarted the level.

For the longest time, I couldn't get to the Reichstag in World at War on Veteran mode. Anyone who's ever tried to play that would know that on that dificulty, you're basically walking on live grenades, there's so many. You die in 4 hits, which doesn't help that there's a small army of Nazis with amazing accuracy even with inaccurate guns, and hardly any cover to try to protect yourself from them. Finally, There was a glitch on a certain wall: Sometimes, a Nazi could walk through it, which sucked, since if it weren't for that, it would be the safest place.
There was also the water puzzle in Onimusha. It's not that hard, now that I think about it, but I remember when I first played it, I gave up trying, then my dad printed out a guide (he played it, too, and was also stuck there).

I played Alundra 2, and the puzzles are so damn frustating, you need some buttload of effort just to finish that freakin game.
still, i am stuck inside the whale's stomach. without walkthrough i wouldnt be able to finish the game.
and a bugged NFS ruined my day. Stuck on kaze and cant do anything really. have to restart my progress back to zero.

Places in games i'm stuck:
Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7.. last battle, and i keep dying ><
Final Fantasy X the part when you're on the ship with cid, and you pull up next to sin, and you have to fight sin... that's pretty goddamn hard..
You may think these are easy bosses, but I rush.. so I'm always ridiculously under-leveled, cause i hate grinding.. Basically, i'm like level 50 or so in ff7... not sure about ff10..
Can't think of any other games i'm stuck in.. i've finished pretty much every other game i've played... bar some racing games where you can't really finish them, just keep going :/

There hasn't been a game where I would get stuck on a boss, but then again I haven't played some games I consider tough yet. However, I remember back in 1998 I believe, there was this place called "De La Metallica" on the first Wild ARMs game that had a puzzle that, for the life of me, couldn't figure out. It was about opening some chests in the correct order and some of them were false and that sort of thing. Also, there was the desert part on "Breath of Fire 3", where you had to walk a certain way for like 10 minutes and another way for like 15 more. The thing is that if you made a little mistake during that time, I had to start over again, all while having random encounters. God, those random encounters made those puzzles more unbearable than they already were (I don't hate random encounters, but they irk my patience if I'm stuck). I was able to complete both of them after some time, but those two puzzles took me MONTHS to pass them. I don't know, I guess I was pretty stupid or something back them :/
