Cartridge vs Disc vs Download
Cartridge vs Disc vs Download

When it comes to buying video games which of these do you think is the best form to have the game in? There are both advantages and disadvantages to all of these.
For example with Cartridges you don't have to worry about scratching it up or accidentally snapping it in half. They are also typically small and you can easily fit them in your pocket. However disadvantages are if there is internal damage to the cartridge you cannot fix it, and if you drop it in water it is dead.
For discs you don't have to worry about water damage and even if the disc gets scratched up you can just wipe it off and the game is as good as new. Also systems that take discs also work with DVDs and CDs. The down side is it is more fragile and you have to be a lot more careful when handling them.
Downloads are pretty great because you can buy them and don't even have to leave your home to get without having to wait for it to be shipped. Another great thing is that if you delete it you can just download the game again for free(provided that the company isn't a bunch of money whoring fuckers). The down side of this is that sometimes the games take a long time to download and you can't take the game to a friends house and you can't buy it used, and sometimes the provider charges you more that what the price is at stores.
Another thing I should mention about downloading is that if you are poor or you don't feel like paying you can PIRATE the game, but even if you do this you probably won't get some of the features that you will on the real game and it might bug from time to time.

I'd agree most with Physical Disc Copies, but becuase of were I live, I ussally resort to buying on Steam. If I got any choice in the matter though, discs are alot better.
That and im strongly against pirating games, 90% of them are cheap asses who can't help out the community. I can understand being intrested in the game and seeing that if it had no demo, you could pirate it, play it for a hour or two, and than buy it, But who could honestly say they'd do that?
Plus, Digital collector editions are never as cool as a physical hard-cover, book, and disc.

Physical discs are definitely my number one choice, although for some reason I tend to prefer cartridges for console games. Don't really like downloads, since there's always the chance that the company where you got it won't be there in the future. I'd like to be sure that I can still play my games in 20 years as well - also a reason why I don't like the need to activate some games online.
As for piracy... I admit that I used to pirate almost everything I played while I was still in school. Having a job now, I actually buy all my games (and a lot of my music), collector's editions, if possible. So I guess it really comes down to available money. It's quite a different thing to be able to buy what you want on the spot (well, a few games a year, at least) instead of having to collect money for a couple of years to get just one game.

Most of the games I have are physical disks. Although downloads have been pretty useful since I downloaded some games and all of my visual novels. And they don't take up space if you go somewhere and you want to bring your console with you.

I play most of my games on discs because there are less complications while playing. It is normally just put the disc in and your good to go, little complications and easy to pick up and go. My second choice is downloads because if I lose the data, I can just get it back by downloading it again on steam or other websites.

I see positives in all 3. For mobility, Cartridge is the way to go, although I may just be saying that since I grew up on them; Disks because if you are a bit materialistic and if you get a virus or your accout deleted you can still play; Downloads for if you live with clumsy people that might break the CD, you can create a backup, and if in my case a few years ago in which my mom was an ass and got rid of all of games with violence with them, I just redownloaded one although I never saw Resistance: Fall of Man again.

I download these days. Downloading allows me to have most any game I could want on my laptop, which I take everywhere. Outside of my computer most of the games I have are on disks, but my favorites are almost all on cartridges.

I'll go with the CD if the game isn't DRM or doesn't require you to insert the cd every time you want to play. Platforms like steam and origin give players the freedom to install almost anywhere, though the possibility of getting hacked (remember last year when steam got attacked?) could compromise the account and forcing you to forfeit all bought games on that account.
I'll stand neutral on pirating games, I want to support the companies that make my games buuuuut I don't want to pay for it either. Don't get me wrong, I actually buy a lot of games for the PC from developers I like.

I definitely prefer buying physical games, I love actually being able to see them on my shelves. I think Cartridge is my favorite.

Well digital has its benefits like being able to re download it if it you somehow uninstall the game, of course if you have a crappy connection it'll take for ever, but steam has managed to revolutionize digital, of course it's really easy to just pop in a game and play it. Cartridges are very old school and are good for nostalgia, if I had a problem with a game all i had to do was blow on it and it's fixed

I switched t steam, since then i buy everything on there and download it.
As for console games, i buy them regulary in their case.

Disc or Cartridge here. My internet is so slow that any Download purchase is not viable choice and of course, i love to see what i buy in physical form.^^
