CoD games mucking up PS3?
0
So my PS3 first started showing signs of trouble last month while playing MW2 frequently. It wouldn't read the game. Tried other games and BD's, they wouldn't read either so I looked around online and found some solutions, like inserting a DVD and then re-inserting a BD to get the reader rolling. It worked, till now. I've been at this for several hours now so I quit and gave Sony a call. Sending it in to get a new PS3 120gb slim for $150, as the repairs would cost more.
I've seen a lot of posts online about this problem stemming from CoD games, particularly WaW and MW2 so just wanted to throw it out there. Anyone else find their PS3 started having problems after popping in CoD games? Maybe it had something to do with updates as well?
@Hokuto: Thanks, left my head in bed.

I've played both games for hours upoin hours and I've had no problems with my ps3 so far besides a wierd stint were some times it would freeze between trying to load a game and the game starting up. That happened a few times and hasn't happened since. I've noticed this problem occurs sometimes when I leave a game in the drive for extended periods of time (IE a month or more) However so far my PS3 is perfectly happy with me so long as I switch up my games on a normal basis.
I will note however that sometimes I've had problems with the CoD games not functioning properly themselves, such as the infamous "Whermacht soldier has more than 128 bones. Call Treyarch" glitch in WaW and the wierd response that MW2 sometimes freezes when it has trouble connecting to IWnet servers.
