The only reason I wanted the GameCube: Tales of Symphonia Metal Gear Solid for the GameCube was a good additon too.
Only reason I want a Wii: Tales of Symphonia 2 I konw it ain't as good, but I want it.

Don't forget Tales of Graces... if it's not invested by bugs anymore...

Gamecube was an awesome system. Way better than the N64 by miles.
Without a doubt the most misunderstood console in history.

well I've only played a 360 for a good 30 minutes and PS3 for about a total of 10 hours(Friends and Cousins FTW)
all I can say is
PS3: great all around... a sound console that is boud to go farther...
360: not considering one till they find a more permanent solution to the RRoD other than placing a aircon directly on 360, and living on a country where pirates are commonplace dose not help...
wii: will consider if and only if it get's a fire emblem game or more tales of games...

tales is jumping to the PS3n back again like it should be. The only reason they jumped from Sony to the wii was because of the cost of the PS3 console which now improved.

My vote is for PS3 because I'm addicted to J-RPGs, but all my friends have 360s so I rack up more hours on the 360 playing FPSs on live. I have a Wii but I havn't touched it in forever.

The Wii is mainly a party console. Nothing beats a good day just jumping and swinging the controller around in Raving Rabbits or trying to sabotage your friends progress in New Super Mario Bros.
Both Xbox360 and Playstation3 have their pro and cons. Also each have their "console exclusive" games. (Uncharted 2 for PS3 and Gears of War for Xbox for example)
Personally I prefer the Xbox. Also for some reason the Playstation controller doesn't feel good in my hands (I also had that with the PS2 controller)

I had my 360 since launch and it just got a RRoD like last year. Apparently it was out of warranty (?) so I just got a Jasper Arcade. It's actually a lot quieter running too.
Of course, PS3 failures do occur, I had one myself. They just usually aren't as iconic as RED RING OF DEAAAAAAATH. Mine just refused to connect to PSN for some reason, no matter what. Had to send it back to Sony for another launch 60gb.

I believe the Fat type of PS3 now have the Red Screen of Demise and the Yellow Flash of 6 feet under.

neat. i knew sometimes a yellow light would appear to indicate failure but i didnt think it was always for the same thing, more of a general catastrophic error.
but really, BC ps3s are the true ps3s. slims can get bent.

Yeah, I liked the one with backward compatibility a lot too but now because of the many recent updates these old types' processors cannot handle them anymore thus we have the red screen and yellow flash.

From what I've seen in the chart Sony has out in their site it would seem the best PS3 is the one is the extra ports, the one with the SD card, pro duo, and CF slots. I haven't met anyone else on my list with that model though.

the older BC ones are more expensive (if you can find them) so that doesnt really make sense
people seriously thought that when all the older PS3s had that clock error not long ago tho. people are dumb as heck

Forget the bugs. Tales of Hearts even had that CG version and still didn't get released outside of Japan. And Graces didn't sell significantly better than Hearts in Japan, so I've resigned myself to waiting for a fan translation English patch.

Imagine buying a BC PS3 and as you said it's more expensive. And then all of a sudden it starts to fail because of all the new updates and rumours say that it's because the new updates can only be processed efficiently with the new ps3s. You buy one thus making you spend more and making them richer in the process.

except you... can't really buy them anymore and the new slim ones are less expensive. so.... ugh. nevermind. I'll just say you're dumb and leave it at that.
