the older BC ones are more expensive (if you can find them) so that doesnt really make sensepeople seriously thought that when all the older PS3s had that clock error not long ago tho. people are dumb as heck
Imagine buying a BC PS3 and as you said it's more expensive. And then all of a sudden it starts to fail because of all the new updates and rumours say that it's because the new updates can only be processed efficiently with the new ps3s. You buy one thus making you spend more and making them richer in the process.
except you... can't really buy them anymore and the new slim ones are less expensive. so.... ugh. nevermind. I'll just say you're dumb and leave it at that.
I think she meant for those who already had BC and spent money for it. And I see her point, the problems Sony is creating thanks to the new upgrades and updates are forcing fat ps3 owners to but new slim ones.

I have bot ha PS3 and a 360, but I like my 360 more because of the networking features, Party chat, microphone that ships with the system, achievements. Definitely worth the 8 bucks for Live every month. the only real downside to the 360 is that there hasnt been very many good JRPGs for it, I dont like Final Fantasy

As has already been said, each console is different and offers different things. Personally, I like the Wii, and even if I had all the money in the world, I'd still prefer the Wii over the PS3 and 360, though it wouldn't be as preferred as it is now. I don't have a ton of money, so I have to go with what I can afford, and the Wii is just that. Except that the big Nintendo games are still fucking expensive. Still, there are a lot of good games for under $20.
The Wii appeals to me because I like simple games where I just have fun. I've stopped caring about story (if I want that, I can watch anime, read manga, or actually open a book), graphics have never mattered to me, and I love Mario and Zelda games. They're my favorite games. You don't see a ton of platformers or action-adventure games (that aren't super-realistic or "gritty") for the PS3 and 360.
