Crysis 2

They did make some changes to Cryengine 3 so consoles could play the game...
-Shadows lag like hell in CE3 and dont stay along with the object casting them at the correct pace
-Draw distance to objects has been insanely reduced
-Water doesnt look 100% natural. Kinda looks flat and murky, considering the setting.
-CE3 has no motion blur (as far as I can tell from crappy youtube videos :P), while CE2 has motion for every object, not just the whole screen
-Skys are static and not volumetric
-Texture resolutions are lower. CE2 has normal mapping on almost everything.
-Obviously the console versions have like no AA (I could be wrong but I think they have at least x2)
Regardless, it still looks really good and I cant wait to play it.

I enjoyed the first game, but Im pissed off because the 2nd will take place in the city and the trailer is not soo awesome as the EA claimed, but if I will have the game sure I'll play...

But that is only for the console versions..
As proven in PC Gamer (US one) April 2010 Issue, the PC Version will see Crysis 2 in all it's insane graphics and stuff.

Well it better be.
Crysis wouldn't be Crysis if it didn't make your computer explode.

Are you basing this off that year old video that shows the comparisons? I think a year's worth of code would have improved some of those aspects. You're almost word for word on one video in particular.

(as far as I can tell from crappy youtube videos)So that's a yes. Never said it was bad because of it, though. It still looks amazing.

(as far as I can tell from crappy youtube videos)You know, I was just about to just quote that one sentence so you wouldn't so this. It was more of a direct question to that one video. Since as I said you're almost word for word what he says. Anyways, I wasn't saying you were wrong for the negatives because they're surely there, but he had to be using an Alpha of the engine.

Yeah. As you said though Im sure theyve improved it a lot. Crytek probably knows what theyre doing and I wouldnt be surprised at all if the game ended up looking better.
But seriously about the video the barrel appeared RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. It only ruins it for me a little since Crysis was big on graphics and not really gameplay/story, so the sequel should live up to it as well. I can understand if it's on a console though, but if that happens on PC, then I will :(

True true and now that Quad-Core is the standard now a days, I hope I don't see any bitching by people.

Haha, I'm already lucky enough that my PC could handle Crysis 1 on high. No way I can do the same with the sequel, unless they did this little something called 'optimizing'.

Been keeping an eye on this for over a year. Were 2 and 1/2 months out from its release and it looks great.
