Wait there's some people working on Daiteikoku? This is good news indeed. Where are they at?

not quite, but i might be able to help jump start it(with the power of the front page), so I'm looking for help with this information before i start.

It'll be really great if those things would make it unnecessary to hack daiteikoku and people could start translating away.

I don't really know if that means that it is really possible with those tools to extract the script, alter it and reenter it into the game (screenshoot) or not. It could also be a fake screenshot.

I have good news guys. I was able to extract the text of Daiteikoku with the mentioned program (the creator is a genius^^), I test translated a small portion of it and reinserted it into the game, here's the result :3.



So that means that basically only translators are needed now.

Does anyone has an idea about the origin of the translation used in this video?



It's not from the hongfire group since the main translator from them said it's not his translation, so that means it has to be from a different group. But I had no luck so far in finding out any informations about them.

I'm assuming the hongfire group is the same one as the one which had/has TLWiki page?

Maybe someone did it by themselves since it's now known how to extract/insert text files?

Hmmm in any case considering the quality of this translation it's safe to say that it's not a hoax and it's also not something which someone just did on a whim. I have experimented quite a lot with the script and diverse tools in order to help waar with daiteikoku, and seeing all the small details I can say that the one or the ones who made that patch put quite some effort into it.

I hope we can find out the origin of this translation, since it would be good if this unknown group or person and the guys on hongfire would join forces, instead of working alone on it.

Furthermore it could be that this could get a bit the wind out of the sails of the hongfire group, they worked quite hard on it ( especially emperozorns translating speed on the main script is amazing) until now and being confronted with a potential another group which is apparently more advanced in the translation, without knowing how far they really are and if they want to translate the complete game as well could be a bit demotivating, at least for me it would be so if I were in their shoes.

Did anyone tried to ask through the guy who posted the video though? (pretty obvious, but sometimes simplest solutions are the best).

Although, if it was another group, you'd think they'd say anything.

Well so far I, emporozorn and a third guy asked the video uploader regarding the translation, but so far there was no reply of him.(ok I and emperozorn asked him around 2 hours ago and the third guy asked him 1 day ago).

I hope sooner or later he will say something about it, since he's pretty much the only person who can say something about this tl patch. No matter where I look, or who I ask no one knows even one bit about this patch, you can say it pretty much came out of nowhere, and the only proof of its existence is that youtube vid.

I mean the patch is pretty good on the first look, and also quite advanced regarding the text and yet no one knows anything about the origin behind it?

That's certainly interesting...I was quite surprised there was a project for it in the first place (so soon anyway), not to mention this.

Well, I guess it will either resolve in next few days, or will remain an internet enigma...

I don't think someone willing to go that far just to troll with us, it must be real. Either way I regret posting that video on hongfire, hope the translation team won't stop because of this.

Well we can only hope for the best, emperorzorn the main translator of hongfire seemed kinda down due to it, which is kind of understandable being confronted with the possibility that all your hard work until now may end up in vain <_<.

Let's hope the uploader of that vid will say something about it sooner or later, but he seems to be as mysterious as that translation.

wow awesome thanks. Although I think I'll wait til the patch's completed before I check daiteikoku out xD, Temptation is powerful tho XD

So does anyone know when the 20% patch will be released? Hongfire is dead and there is no other way to contact the translating group.
