I have been playing visual novels recently and I find it too long and boring sometimes so I just look for a save file after I finish the story once. As for fate stay night, I only finished it once and well quite honestly I wanted to get to the part where they have sex and well, even though I got the save file I can't really find the part so a little help would be appreciated. Going back to the point I was wondering how many people really play the game completely with all the Easter eggs completed and all the stories unlocked

For me it's hard to say I play the game completely, but I try to find all ending as much as possible.
For fate stay/night I find Tiger Dojo more fapable than actual sex scene...If you know what I mean

For me...It's yes...I Don't even care if they got Sex-Scene or not...The Story is the real deal...For some games, I even Skipped most of the Sex-Scene coz they Have Sex Hell Too Often... :wink:

If you don't finish the whole thing, a visual novel will lose it's meaning and it's just going to be a waste of your hard disk and the time when you download.
My priorities in playing:
-Story
-CG art
-game play
-H-scenes

Huh??...why is gameplay got something to do with VNs??..It's just my prorities. Sometimes playing a random VN with no other things except "a mouse-click-a-thon" will sometimes make me bored, if there is no strong story plot.
So a little bit of status raising, fighting, or other gimmicks will make it more interesting, since it's going to be hard to finish it if an ending needs a certain status.
For example, most games created by ALICE SOFT has many gameplay gimmicks.
-C++ Pastel Chime = Dungeon RPG with Trivia questions.
-Beat Angel Escalayer = Rasing the stats of Escalayer to fight monsters.
or the recent Pajamas Soft games.
-Prism Ark = RPG battle system.
-Princess witches = Battle card system.
or games created by LEAF
Utawarerumono = Strategy RPG game.
Tears to Tiara= RTS-RPG system
FullAni = Mahjongg
Or one simple yet legendary title "Brave Soul" with it's Real-Time RPG system.

Oh..I see...But I prefer games without Gameplay though...Coz Most of them are Japanese, It'll be Very hard to beat games with gameplay...

The sex scenes aren't even needed in F/SN, it would still be epic.
Playing a VN only for the hentai scenes is something i pretty much never do, since if i just wanna fap i'll download some hentai-anime or real pr0nz.
I play VN's for the story mainly, even hentai-games.

I'm on the same boat with you there. And yes, even a VN is more sex-oriented I always to understand what's going on about the story.

Same goes for me... :D ...There isn't a single VN that I played just to see the H-Scene... :!:

How do you define playing a visual novel/eroge completely? It could be any of the following options, or even all of them, depending on the individual:
-Unlocking all the scenes, regardless of hentai or worksafe
-Reading through all the dialogue sessions
-Unlocking all other aspects of the entire game, such as soundtrack, mini-game characters, etc
I admit there are times when I never complete playing a particular visual novel or eroge because having to go through a similar sequence just to obtain an alternate ending can be tedious, especially for "long" games.

I like to finish the game with all the endings, maybe every CG or H-scene, I play the games mostly for the story and not for the H of it, for me the H is a nice bonus or a complement, with a good story and gameplay the game is worth replays, like Ever 17 that solely for the story I replayed it several times, or Brave Soul that both the story and gameplay made me replay it a lot as well.

Fate stay/night is the first visual novel I played and I didn't stop until I got everything it had to offer. Took a whole week of my life. My only regret is that it didn't take more.

I played School days and Bible Black through all the way until I got every ending unlocked. Was a pain at first but the scenes were worth the wait.

Whats the point of playing if your not gonna finish it? I suggest reading the synopsis and other people's rating and comments before downloading.

After achieving one ending, I'll skip all dialogue that I remember reading until I come across dialogue I haven't read yet. So essentially, the answer is yes.
