Dynasty Warriors Next

So I recently Got a PSVITA. I had some money to play around with and bought "Dynasty Warriors Next" Now I'm a fan of the dynasty warriors series. just hacking my way through people like a warm knife through butter never gets old to me. others? not so much. but any who. I "HAVE NOT" played Dynasty warriors 7 yet but have played Dynasty Warriors 6 and under. I'm very glad in DW Next they finally brought back the old move sets from previous DW games like from DW5 and under.where you could press square,triangle. or square square triangle, etc, for different moves. instead of just pressing square al the time and only pressing triangle to break the block of enemies. in other words.. The "Renbu" system they introduced in DW6 just didn't do it for me. Editing your own character is also nice. being that they also included a Edit mode into the game. The game actually runs pretty damn good on the VITA, A very tiny bit of lag makes its way in but hey that to be expected, theres like 30 guys on the screen. Also it looks really good as well. shiny weapons and flwoing scarfs and capes. none of that cardboard capes from the previous DW for the PSP. The mini games they've thrown in are VERY over used though. like sudden ambushes in your game where you run your finger on your screen to block arrows or cut down swordsmen. Also the DUELS in game are also VERY repetitive after your 50th match. so what do you think of Dynasty warrior games in general? I know its the same stuff wrapped in a different package but still. any thoughts guys?

Seriously from the time I bought my ps2 I've got my hands on Dynasty Warriors as one of the games bundled in the package and hell yeah I'm lovin these games until now. Like you said it really feels good hackin' slashin your way to a horde of people. I'm really gonna get this game when I have my hands on a vita. Yeah its repetetive, but indeed repetitively fun. Too bad I did'nt get my hands on these games when I got my ps3. Though I need to wait a vita price drop which is really a very long way till now.

The movesets from DW6 where crap. plus they only made certain character playable. not the whole 42 some odd characters from other games. seems also like the voice acting went down the tube as well. much like DW3 way back when that was released. now that voice acting was shit lol

I agree with that repetitive ambush and duel... after some time it just gets annoying and all. I always use Yuan Shao's stratagem to avoid those craps but duels in hard mode is just cheap... You just make a fringe damage while if you accidentally make a mistake they will just make a chain attack while we are stun and that is the end of the line for us... Just hope that they balance out the duel

I LOVE the ART-STYLE and GRAPHICS in pretty much every DW game. I even have a VITA but damn.... DAT GAME-PLAY always puts me down..... last dw game i played was Sengoku Basara i think, it looked godlike.....gameplay is awful...

I was debating on weathe ror not to get that, until I saw some gameplay. that changed my mind completly
