E3 2011

This conference was severely underwhelming imo.
The best titles they showed were the ones we already knew about, and why the hell did they show Infamous 2?? It's being released tomorrow lol.

Well, considering it was in the intro to the conference... TWICE.

I agree, but my opinions are slightly slanted due to the fact that I don't own a Xbox/PS3/Wii so anything that's announced I can't really be happy about; unless its a price drop in for any of those 3 consoles. Yet, even if I did have one of those consoles, doesn't seem like what was announced today would really "wow" me.

The thing that annoyed me the most is that tehy didn't show The Last Guardian, fuckin booo.

It's sad when the best thing about a conference with no new titles, besides Move and Handheld games (where have I heard this before?), is a pricetag.

Underwhelming conference, too much time spent apologising and a bit bland, but mostly redeemed by the Vita stuff and the all-important pricing. $249 is spot on and gives them a real fighting chance (but I still think not having 3G in all/most of them will hinder casual and networking efforts).

There was too much blabbering about Move, and im not all that into hand helds tbh, wether it be the 3DS or PSV.
So Sony's conference gets a C+ from me.

For me Sony gets a C- and Microsoft gets a D for all the kinetic shit. Even though they announced me3 and other great games. They are most likely going to be on the ps3. And I could care less about halo

Microsoft was pretty bad. So much Kinect bullshit that no one cares about. Sony did an ok job. It was good that they started the show with the PSN outage apology, though I doubt they would've, or could've started it any other way. The Vita is starting to look pretty sick. Kind of a weird name, but the pricing made it almost irresistible. Looking forward to tomorrow to see Nintendo's Project Cafe.

I'd rather the it be released late and they have more time to fix bugs and make the gameplay better than release it with all the Triple A titles and have less time and rushed out.

All I'm really interested in getting my hands on this year is the PSV. Dont care about anything else, besides Gears of War 3 that is.

PSV is $250. The 3DS just got a huge kick in the butt.

If Nintendo doesn't push out some sort of miracle lineup, their new platform is going down the drain.

But i'm really interested in how they'll retaliate to the Vita. Hopefully regular updates/better games/etc. etc.

The PSV is certainly good new, truly fitting to be called a new gen hand held. Just sucks that the prize is kinda unfair for Europe, €249 is almost twice of $249 =/ Anyway, this is gonna be a blow against the 3DS, so Nintendo's new console better be goooood.

As far as im concerned this is just like when the PSP was shown at E3 and everyone declared the DS dead, and only a few years later the DS completely dominated the handheld market.

Except that this time 3ds and Vita are both available at the same price. Well... me being a fag for RPGs I won't buy the Vita as long as there isn't a good lineup of RPGs announced for this handheld.

It was more of a "OMG LOOK AT TEH GRAFIX! THE DS IS SO DEAD!" argument when it was revealed rather than a price issue tbh, but i see what you mean.

The only reason I'm buying a 3DS over the Vita is because I'm a sucker for Nintendo titles, but trust me, not everyone is like me.

The PSV & 3DS both at $250 is a no-brainer decision to anyone who isn't a hardcore Nintendo fan. Just can't be compared.
