I haven't played many VNs.

but I like FSN & Wind a breth of heart alot. Tsukihime is pretty good too but it's quite old so I'm looking forward to the remake.

I wonder if there are alot of VN's better then Wind a breath of Heart or do a lot of people here haven't played it yet.

ah well back to more VNs... Ever 17 next.

I don't really quite have a top 5 quite yet.
But some I remember liking were Desire, Dividead, and Jewel Knights Crusaders.

I'm a bit iffy on recommending Saya no Uta.
Spoiler:
The gore and blood is fine, but I think they took the sex slave rape scene a bit too far. I understand the style it was written is part of the genre, but it still left me feeling disgusted.


Utawarerumono is definitely not one I would recommend. It wasn't as entertaining as I would imagine it to be.

In my opinion it seems to serve better as an anime. Since it was pretty much just telling you the story with no hidden paths or much of a choice in the adventure. Only thing it allowed you to control was the battles. Although, the battles were fun, it did not mix too well with the overall enjoyment. I actually looked forward to fighting more than the story at one point. At one point it felt like I was playing an RPG that had too many cutscenes.


Some I wanted to play were Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime. However, I fear that having watched the anime might ruin some of the elements of playing it as a graphic novel.

FateStayNight anime only covers like 30% of the whole story since it gone into the fate route with alittle here and there. Trust me, you will still enjoy the hell out of it.
Tsukihime anime does not exist, what you seen must be some 3rd grader spinoff that is similar.
Play Fate Stay Night and Tsukihime Visual Novel, highly recommended to anyone, watched anime or not.

Hmm, I guess I'll start on Fate/Stay Night.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime was the TV anime of adaptation of the game I believe. It was 12 episodes and I thought it was pretty good. At first I didn't realized it was an adaption of anything. But when I started looking for products I started to notice.

I don't think it was a 3rd grader spinoff though. They had to censor out some of the gruesome scenes, but thankfully some on the internet was released uncensored. It's hard for me to recall too much since this was several years ago.

Ah, now I need to decide which one to start first. :c

I remember it took quite awhile for mirrormoon to finish the translation for Tsukihime and I never got around to start playing it.

I normally would recommend Katawa Shoujo but it wasn't complete yet so I didn't put it up.

Utawa has a smaller screen compared to other VNs, which means lesser satisfaction. Full screen mode doesn't look good on my comp.
