Favorite weapons to use in RPG's?

Alright simple video game poll. What's your favorite type of weapon to use when playing an RPG? It can be ANY kind of RPG (stategy, action, turn-based, etc). For me, I like to use swords the most. For example, in Demon and Dark souls I always used a katana ([size=10]Uchigatana and Iato[/h]) because it was badass as hell and they're fast, deadly weapons.

well... depand on wat game u play... for wat i noe... games like god of war or darksider or even devil may cry... this kind of game.. the 1st weapon is always the best weapon.. so I guess it would sword....

Call me cliche but swords are always the best looking, and have the best looking and powerful specials.....unless you count summons as a weapon.

Guns, definitely. If it's in the game, I'm using it. After that is bows, then daggers (which should fall under "swords", I think)

Bows and crossbows all the way.

Majority of the time is a sword, if I can, a Katana. Then, in a random order, Spears, Bow and Arrows, Guns, Staff, Throwing Knives, and a Scythe. I think thats it,

As cliche as it is, I go for swords most of the times, unless another weapon is absolutely needed.

Same here. swords seem to be the most "standard" or "cliche" weapon but I still like them the best.

Guess it's true when they say, "if it ain't broke, why fix it", huh? :P

haha.. I guess the most basic thing is the best thing... ^^

I like swords better. For some games (like most Final Fantasy games) the weapons are fixed preferences for whatever character/job you have. In others (like Skyrim) swords are faster, but don't pack as much punch as maces, even though it's faster than maces.

My favorite weapons tend to be Katars/claws, since I actually use katars irl.

After that its a 3 way tie between guns/greatsword/Katana

Dual pistols whenever I get the chance, close second is "other" because of the tanks from Metal Saga.

As long as it's 2 handed and looks like it would hurt alot, i'm going to use just THAT!

I still loyal to Swords class... Everytime I see sword is always the coolest weapon, and most of the time, the strongest weapon around...

Anything with a blade. But I guess Swords is the first thing that comes to mind.

Something like a frying pan (example: Leena in Chrono Cross used frying pans and brooms). Something that you wouldn't expect. Other then that, it's maces (the ones with the spikes on the head) or go barehanded option.
