FFXIII straight to shit

As you know, if you've visited my latest replies to FFXIII's thread, namasensei has been making a meticulous review of Final Fantasy XIII. I advise everyone interested in buying this game to watch his following videos.

Oh and one more thing - Don't bitch about his swearing. You'll be thankfull to have watched it, instead of crying over your wasted money. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

-General overview on the good points of the game: the graphics and the story(in comparison to FFXII)

-Save points (AKA shops. That's right people. There are no shops in this game. All the purchasing goes in the save points)

This series has seriously gone straight to shit. I thought Square screwed up bad enough with XII, but this is just unbelievable. I didn't imagine they could fuck it up this bad. But it seems they did. Why couldn't they just leave it at X?
I am not giving one more cent for a final fantasy game.

I only play newer FF games when I deliberately seek some shallow entertainment in the first place, but this really takes the cake. Thanks for starting this thread, dude

So this is what happens when after 2 great game companies merge... heck if I see a VP game get this treatment I'm sticking to my old PS1 games... and ignore all next gen games for good

Ain't much of a FF fan but I watched a few minutes of the first video and I'm convinced to buy it. Odd. I'll probably watch the rest laters.

As expected its not as great as the previous one but this is a new generation. Im going to still buy it because I knew it was going to have flaws. But most of these cons are minor in my opinion. Well maybe versus 13 will be better. As long as this game has a good story I'm happy. Unlike 12 and 10-2. Took them back after a week.

Now, now ... it is impossible for it to be worse than FF12. The battle system sounds the same as any other FF battle system, mash a single button, except in this case you just need it hit it a bit more. Well, it's not like I ever paid full-price for any FF anyway. In my opinion, having the FF series fall from grace can only be a good thing. The fewer game companies that follow the FF model, the better.

Wow. Whatever happened to the really cool Final Fantasy shit like playing as a Paladin and flying around in airships and actually having an awesome story line? This game just really looks ridiculous. It's like there's a lot of movement on purpose just to confuse the hell out of you and make it look like stuff is happening.

I was prepared for this outcome. FF series simply can't be good anymore and square knows it. I bet the whole FF13 was released JUST because ppl were waiting for it for some sh*tload of years now.

More like, they don't really care about quality games anymore because the games will be bought anyway. Your average "gamer" doesn't seem to care, sadly. And then there are those who buy games like these although they know it's gonna be a waste of money (I'm guilty as charged with games like Dawn of Mana and FFXII that I picked up out of curiosity, although I never pay the full price)

This like FF12 should just be a number. If this was simply called 13 it would be a good game, but they set the standard way to high to fall on this. Hopefully the KH team can make FFvs13 not be fail.

In short, FFXIII is just a pile of feces crapped out by Square Enix who soaked in too much glory and fame of their original product to give 2 flying fucks about their work and decide to just glitter up the shit and wrap it with golden foil and add a bit of Christmas lights to capture the unwary dull dipshits that are easily persuaded that good cinematics mean a good game and the fans just buy it because they just love sucking off Square Enix's FAT cock and will buy anything they throw at them. Now I suppose the game is not that bad, it's not like the shit that has been shat out by other game developers but it is still shit nonetheless, just given a really fancy covering to protect itself of what it really is...SHIT! At the same time you could probably get the same amount of awesome cinematic experience if you just go out and stare at some fluorescent neon lights for 60 fucken hours.

Imo we are expecting to much. Yes the earlier FF were great. But this is a new generation. Also theres versus 13 so maybe they expected this to happen. Can anyone name a good rpg that has came out lately thats just as great as the earlier games on the snes,ps1 and ps2? Also I read on some of the video comments that people that imported the game says he is stretching the cons. And that most of the cons are minor if anything. Like the part where he said all you have to do is press o. His characters had to be maxed to do that kind of damage.
