Finally starting to Customize controllers

Ever since I got my torx t8 Screwdriver, I'm been disassembling controllers left and right, and now I think I'm ready to do spray paint customs. Now my first question is I found one particular product which suits my needs. However, Since I'm goinng to be holding this controller in my hand often, do I need to have a clear coat for it?

Apply clear coat to delay or prevent weathering of the paint.
