I hate it when people replace you with u. Its lazy. Its a 3 letter word. Take your goddamn time. It won't kill you. And what is this doing in serious discussion? Wow, just wow.

I was caught between moving this thread to the Computers and Technology section or the Video Games section. However, since the thread starter is talking about a computer setup for gaming, I thought the Video Games section would be more appropriate.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Getting back on topic, I currently do not own a gaming setup. Of course, I believe having a big and powerful monitor may enhance the gaming experience.

i personally have a G15 2nd gen keyboard n a 1st gen sidewinder mouse
but... kinda running with what Gambler said its the screen and gaming rig that makes gaming on a pc more enjoyable. Yes the mouse n keyboard are nice to have but ill take a nice screen n tower over them anyday

First gen G15 keyboard paired with a G9x laser mouse with the DryGrip... grip. Both made by Logitech. I was torn between the G9x and the Razor NAGA MMO gaming mouse because of the programmable buttons. I don't play a lot of MMO games but I love having a lot of programmable thumb buttons on a mouse. One of these days I'm going to get it as a secondary mouse for use with certain games (Dragon Age/Neverwinter Nights type games especially, though certain FPS games or even RTS games would benefit from it if the software package is easy to configure).
I'm kinda crazy for stuff like that, which is why I made sure to get the first gen G15 keyboard and not the second gen one, though if I had the cash I'd like to get the new G19 keyboard and the G13 gameboard though at the very least I'm eventually going to get the G13 gameboard, it looks amazingly comfortable for games that don't require a hundred keys, and if I pair it with the NAGA I should have more than enough keys/buttons for almost any game.

Playing on my laptop with a cheap mouse.
Razors don't make me better than I already am.
On a sidenote, I do plan on buying a new desktop since my laptop is on the verge of death.
HD 5770 seems to be the best video card price-quality wise nowadays.

Alright more stuff to confuse the hell out of stupid people... Ive seen that mouse before.. and the question arises... why would you shell out that kind of money for a mouse... just to get a few more programable buttons... now i can see it for some games like WoW... but beyond wow theres really no point, The most use i could see in that... is for Spamming "Need a Dispencer here" on Team fortress 2 .. just to annoy the hell out of everyone

Logitech all the way for me at the moment:
-G15 2nd gen keyboard
-G5 mouse
I had a hard time at first getting used to the keyboard because of the additional keys on the left. After two years I still use it and I am very satisfied.

I've bought a razor keyboard and mouse and personally I am never going to buy another razor product again. The keyboard had so many glitches like keys freezing and locking up every 10 minutes, I ended up having to go back to the cheap keyboard that came with my desktop. The mouse sometimes glitches and the pointer starts to have seizures and doesn't stop till I smack it on my desk, most likely a loose wire or something inside.
