Um, I'm kinda out of the loop here. Is something wrong with that article?I believe he is referring to the "silliness" that the Silver Age of comic books is known for. However, from what I've read, while they are canon, they (DC's anyhow) have since been retconned to being much darker than they originally were. I really don't think we have much to worry about as its the same people that worked on Arkham Asylum & Arkham City. They'll make it much more awesome than it originally was.

What annoys me is that it seems like Warner Brothers/DC made Rocksteady drop there plans for a sequel and instead make a prequel just to promote there JLA movie. That is what pisses me off here

In my opinion, while it is cool that Rocksteady is still making Batman games. It has gotten rather dull with them.
*SPOILERS FOR THE ARKHAM GAMES*
I just hope the rumors are false, seeing how the Arkham universe is better left alone since it is damn realistic. Sure, cameos won't hurt, but having the Justice League would make the game a bit ridiculous.
Yes, I think there is a reference in Arkham City, where one thug says "that freak in Metropolis" and obviously Superman is the "freak" there.
But seriously, they need to lay off the Joker, sure, I like the villain, I like Mark Hamill's interpretation of him in the cartoon and games (although John DiMaggio is my favorite Joker), but we need more than just Joker centered games. Might as well call the series "Batman: The Joker's (subtitle)" as a whole.
Rocksteady feels like a one-trick pony now.

Well, that's unfortunate. Yet another game with Superman (and Aquaman) to make a game awful some stupid way. After all, video games hate the two (although most non-fans hate Aquaman anyway.) Here's to hoping Supes and Aqua will finally be in a good game!
However, I admit that I want a Dark Age game. Just to see how well that awful age would be received in this day and age.

I'm not exactly happy with WB interfering just to promote a movie either, but hey,
this is Rocksteady we're talking about. If anyone can pull off something like this, they can.

Batman should star in batman games.JLA should star in lego games.
I wouldn't mind a separate JLA game. Just don't interfere with game creators for the sake of promotion

That's disappointing, I was excited to see what Rocksteady was going to do with the next villains because of the several hints in Arkaham City. I was hoping the Red Hood/Jason Todd was going to make an appearance, but I still want see what Rocksteady will do. Also this is why I hate when Hollywood gets involved with video games.
Edit: However, if the game is terrible I hope Rocksteady will continue with their original story to continue Arkham City.
