EDIT: Last one was off-topic now that I think of it. I remember going through Onimusha 3, trying to beat it without saving. I fell asleep part-way through, and there was a power outage while I was out. It was a rude awakening once I realized.

EDIT2: @ Renovartio, that's a good habit to have. I started doing that too after playing RAGE for a while.

Prolly all of the Disgaea games gave me that feeling. before every fight you almost had to save unless you knew what was coming and you knew you could beat it. cuz if you failed it was game over and you'd have to start from your last save.. so if you went ahead and did 3 battles with no sweat without saving afterwards and then BAM super hard stage with geo Puzzles and crap that gave the enemy 6xboost of their stats and you where totally caught off-guard by this. and you can't friggin go back to a stage select either when your in mid-battle. theres on an option to go back to the title screen and resume from your last save. I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to save..

Dont know if it counts but, when I was playing pokemon ruby ( yes a while back) I played for hours on end, day to night, now when I woke uo the next day....I saw my game in my hand not turning on(low battery turn off) ....the fucking rage I felt that day was unimaginable. Need to learn how to save...
