do you use cheat codes for non-multiplayer games or to build up fast in those games ?
what games have you felt forced to cheat with?
for me it has been the pokemon games and yu-gi-oh games for ds
to get anywhere or get good stuff requires endless luck and grinding
i also cheated in big bang age and sengoku rance

I only cheat in stupid games I don't care about or in games in which the cheating will make the game more fun like Chameleon Twist 2 or Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie. Infinite eggs and wishy washy Banjo is so fun.

I think fair cheats are fine, like you got a Item and you want more of the item which you can get grinding a certain monster, then cheating to save time is fine to me

I always make a point to beat a game on it's highest difficulty before anything else. It's mostly a matter of pride and to get the most out of the game, as is. After that, I cut loose, turn on cheat codes, and tear shit up as payback for all of my previous deaths in the game. I loved using cheat codes in Return to Castle Wolfenstein and get all of the guns early in the game so that I can shred Nazi guards and zombies using the Venom and the Tesla gun. Oh and it's always fun to turn on invincibility and kick down doors with dual Colt .45s.
Seriously, id needs to put out an HD rerelease for that game. Doom 3 BFG is awesome and all, but RtCW is still my favorite FPS of all time.

Cheats are usually fine, so long as its not a multi competitive game.
Games are suppose to be fun. If you feel like running around with god mode on then go for it.
But let say doing a lag switch in an online street fighter match, well thats just not cool bro.

If I've beaten the game before, I'll do a playthru of the game with cheats.
If the game glitches and deletes my progress, I'll cheat to get back to where I was.
If the cheats are insignificant or funny (big head mode, etc.), Then I don't mind cheats.
Cheating to beat a game you've never beaten before is... *Head-Shake*

I only use cheats when I finish a game completely, when I cannot progress further without a cheat, or when the purpose of the cheats is just a fun add on.
Game I usually cheat on are Pokemon and GTA.

I only ever use cheats when I beat the game, but I rarely do anyways.
Although games like Yugioh, GTA, etc.. I would from the beginning. Yugioh would be to get all cards (I would spend hours and hours building decks and stuff) and GTA... it's pretty obvious. Lol to mess around.

If it's offline, then I've nothing against using cheats. I'm also far more likely to use cheats on card games, alchemy games, and grinding-centered RPGs to get past the annoying parts, whereas I use them on sandbox games to just screw around and have fun. Like using the duplication glitch in MineCraft before Creative Mode came out, or using any code in GTA.
If it's online, then I completely despise any form of cheating whatsoever.

Cheats I only use for fun. If the game has cheats, I beat it first and depending on the cheats, I screw aroud. Another is I lost my data, use cheats to get it back or around where I was. In multiplayer games, I only use cheats, glitches and such If I am screwing around with buddies.

I'm not the slightest bit against cheating(Bar in online games), but I almost never use them myself, even in things like GTA. Although, like most people, I do use cheats sometimes to screw around in games after I've finished them. More often than that, though, I love exploiting glitches and such to sequence break or what ever, especially after I've finished something. If the game is glitch-able enough, it becomes like an entirely different game(Zelda OoT is a good example). Most of the Castlevania games are great for that as well, which in their case makes the game a lot more entertaining to me, because the methods to glitch are usually ridiculous, and have hilarious and incredible effects.

I've never used any cheat codes nor did I cheat in the games that I've played, because I didn't need to. Though the only time I cheated in a game was when I was playing Warriors Orochi on my PSP. But that was because my friend gave me a save file which contains all the unlocked characters, battle stages, ultimate weapons and treasures, and it wasn't his save file as well.

as alot of ppl said cheat is ok.. but I don't normally do it cause I know I would regret it since I wont feel like I beat the game and will be too lazy to play it all over again without cheat since I already know the ending to it
