Games that captivates you.

One game that also always draws me in is Suikoden 2. I could play it for hours on end and it still doesn't get boring - the immense cast of characters sure helps. Pesmerga ftw.

Suikoden is generally great if you want a decent story and good characters... speaking of Suikoden, Radiata Stories also comes to mind. It got a lot of hate, but I actually like it. Then again, the cast of useful characters boils down to only a few, but the post game was fun...

Both Ar tonelico games were great. The dive system actually was really conducive to investment in the Reyvateil characters. Only bad thing was that non-reyvateil party members became much more bland as a result. Heard they fixed it in Ar tonelico 3, though, where you can have conversations with all your party members.

For other games I got attached to... SMT series, Chaos Legion (for some reason).....
Oh yeah and Golden Sun.

In any case... Dragon Age Origins gave me a GAWD moment.
Other than that, i don't actually play alot of games, i tend to replay them.

Edit: As the post above said; Golden Sun. That was nothing but epic win.

Most of the Persona Series, Persona 4 Especially.

Eternal Sonata and Silent Hill are tied for second.

the Metal Gear Solid series. It has an awesome and captivating story with very good characters that you really care about and they aren't just there to make the game go forward.

final fantasy seven. no game in the history of the industrey has come close to matching the epicness of that game. give me a game that looks like its life and id take VII over it in a heartbeat.

Kingdom Hearts was it for me. A lot of people didn't like this game, but for me it had a great storyline with really great characters, and Mickey Mouse is a badass.

Pokemon, Final Fantasy 7,8,9...

Harvest Moon Back To Nature where you could marry the characters and give gifts. That game was bomb. I think it was one of those key factors that got me interested into hentai in the first place.

I got more than one:

Final Fantasy VI: Had a colorful cast of characters, great plot and probably one of the coolest villains that Square has ever made. Also the opera scene was a tear-jerker...up until Ultros crashes it.

Dragon Quest V: Arguably the best in the series. You start off as a child, venturing with your father and by the end of the game, you're married with children of your own. It's also got one of those moments when your son says something along the lines of "Let's kick evil's ass" that makes me jerk a tear and say "*sniff* ...that's my boy..."

Ace Attorney Series: One part court drama, one part murder/mystery. It's so incredibly satisfying to find the killer and bring them down. Justice at it's best.

I have no Pokemon games.

I found both the post by Kiss-Shot and FappingFury to be amazing, it helped me to see what they saw in the games they mentioned, though i played the first bio shock and bits of far cry too, bored of it(far cry 2).

Atmosphere...
i loved the atmosphere of Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, if i wasn't careful i would be sucked in and scared, which for some twisted reason i enjoyed. oO

i would also like to add Persona(3 under my belt), Xenosaga(1&2), Dark Cloud 2, Baten Kaitos:Eternal.., Sword of Mana(made me cry at the end), and Golden Sun(both),(wish they made a 3rd game), those who have played them should understand why.
