Games Worth Getting to Play

A topic dedicated to the games that got you into the series, or just put you in awe when you played it yourself. weither it is story/plot, graphics, or just some random reason why you think it is worth it for other to get and try it out or to keep. Classic or not, all are welcomed. to start this topic off. iw ill give two of my favs on mind right now.



my games that I say are worth getting is FF7 for the ps1, star ocean the end of time for teh ps2 these two games got me into the final fantasy and star ocean series cause of the vast imagination put into them. the stories was the overkill for me and made me a dedicated fan to them.

@OP: Dude I freaking love star ocean 3. That game makes me hard with its battle system.

Top Gear (SNES)[size=8]TWO PLAYER SIMULTANEOUS RACING!![/h] - First racing game that I loved to play everyday.
Super Mario World (SNES + GBA) - Just enjoyed the hell out of this game.
Super Mario World 2 : Yoshi's Island (SNES + GBA) - Had way too much fun just turning shy guys into eggs and shooting them randomly into the air.
MegaManX3 (SNES) - So many hours spent crying and shouting in joy.
Fable Series (Xbox[360]) [size=8]Don't waste your time with II though, it was horrible[/h] - F1's story and overall game play was what got me hooked on the series, F2 was a horrible excuse of a sequel, where F3, though not as great as F1, was still a fun game.

Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time (PS2)
Ratchet and Clank 1 (PS2) - Who doesn't love ripping enemies and the galaxy a new one with the R.Y.N.O?
Pokemon Silver (GBC)
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War (PC) - The setting and RTS mechanics got me hooked instantly.
Command and Conquer: Generals (PC) - American Particle Lasers and Chinese Nuclear Missiles anyone?
Kingdom Hearts series (PS2)
The Sims 2 (PS2) - It was fun for the shenanigans.
Valkyrie Profile (PS1)
Legend of Mana (PS1) - The last good game of the series.

-Final Fantasy XII (I loved this, first FF played when I was 13)
-Midnight Club 2 (<<< Big one to get if you like arcade racers, its amazing)
-MGS2 (Be prepared for a lot of weirdness and getting trolled by Kojima... it made me turn off my console and Mail my Fission)
-Quake 3 Arena (by far the best and most competitive FPS out there)
-Resident Evil 4 (awesome game)

Thats off the top of my head. Though since you are the 'GamerNerd' Im pretty sure you've already played all of these, if not most :P

final fantasy 12 is decent to get and play. I actually miss it, but my ps2 is dead and i need to buy a new one.

Assassins creed series. A very good series here. More focus on story then multiplayer. :D And not to forget the cenimatics, just elegance they are. The ending cenimatic for ac revelations was just what all cenimatics should be.

God eater burst. Monster hunter clone or not it holds it's own and deserves to be seen as more then just a monster hunter clone.

All the legend of zelda games but ill reccomend Majoras mask. From the story to gameplay to music everything in majoras mask is perfect.

Pokemon collesium.

Shadow the hedgehog. Shadows a badass. Nothing more to say

Sonic adventure 2 battle (GC)

Sonic heroes. People hate it. I LOVE IT.

Infamous.

Prototype.

Anything megaman.

Prince of Persia sands of time.

Phantasy star portable 2.

Lord of arcana. This game seems to get a lot of hate but I love it a lot.

Super Mario sunshine. The hate for this game is unjustifiable. It is excellent.

All the metroid prime games.

I got more that are worth getting but I'll stop here.
